Oct 25th 2011 10:37PM Tony, sorry things did not go well for you. Just to let you know, I served in the Navy Waves. Did not leave a promising career, but did receive an American Spirit Honor Medal. You should know that being female and fighting for the American dream is and always will be a struggle. All I am saying is we are all here to make the most of whatever means the "most" to us. Sure, some seem to just "have it made" and many always appear to just be so darn lucky, but ... really, that is them and you have a life to live. Take deep breathes, smile more (especially when looking into your mirror), stand tall and accept what is given with grace and faith in yourself. Sorry I went on so .. Good luck!

Oct 25th 2011 1:17PM This is a reply to William: What a short memory you have. It seems you think others will not remember. But, let me just recall this: Bush started "Shock and Awe" and decimated a country and a lot of its people, he then turned to the American people and said, "Not to worry, just go out and SHOP." If you think, following a man like that, who brought our country to its knees by spending and making enemies is easy, William, perhaps you need to go back about 12 years to remember what we had before Mr. Bush took over! So easy to blame the guy who has to clean up the mess, isn't it?

Oct 25th 2011 12:55PM This is to Brenda: OK, I read your diatribe, here is my reply. I am 79, and have lived an amazing life. I have traveled Route 66 five times and met some great, hard-working people along the way. I have visited the Caribbean several times and learned how to properly dangle my feet off the bridge while drinking a rum sour and listening to the wonderful steel drums. I have hiked through the mountains of California ... even fished and caught a few good ones. Brenda, there were times when I worked three jobs a week; my regular, an afterwork one and one more at night (a drive-in checking out the cars as they came in to see the movie). Times I worked OT every day except Sunday. BUT, never, never, never did anyone tell me I had to do this or I had to do that. From 16 to 18 years on, you are your own person. Stop this "they make you do this" stuff! What country are your from? America and freedom is not easy but make the most of what you have.
Jesse James Mistress Number Two Writes Letter to Sandra Bullock {PopEater}
Apr 26th 2010 5:59PM Andrea, no need to be insulting about all this. You think Liberals abort? So ... Republicans have theirs and then dump them? See ... just be nice and leave politics out of this. Or, maybe you are having more of a problem than Ms. Bullock is?

Apr 26th 2010 2:29PM Hard to believe, but sometimes it helps to have additional information when you are attempting to make a sensible and difficult "life" decision. Friends/relatives can advise all they want, but facts sure help. I admire Miss Bullock as an actress and a person with moral strength. Use all the info being proffered, can't hurt ... might help.
Obama Approval Rating Drops Below 50 Percent in Latest Gallup Poll {Politics Daily}
Nov 20th 2009 5:14PM Lisa, Big John, Irm: Wow, good Christians all, and patriotic, too! You drank the Cool Aid for the last eight years, listening to a lot of 'hear is what we think you should think' and now you will not even give the next administration at least one year to sweep up some of the mess. You guys are great, break your arms patting yourselves ... yeah, team. Let us go along with your representatives who declare they will do anything to bring down this administration. Seems like it is working -- and you are helping. Gosh, do you want to go into another country, demolish the infrastructure, kill the women and children over a lie ... AGAIN? Oh, and one more thing, a lot of the Biblical reminders of where we came from and who we are have been ruined by YOUR PEOPLE. I bet that makes you feel so proud. And Rush, and Beck, and Palin, and ad nauseam.

Is It Time to Stop Picking on Glenn Beck? {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 20th 2009 3:34PM I see who your heroes are and that answers any questions I might have. Palin: a quitter, could not finish what she started (Gov. of Alaska); Rush: a coward and druggey (likes to pick on all), could not bother to serve his country, turned his cleaning lady in because she was worried about his health and spoke to the authorities about him; and, let's see -- oh, yeah ... that crew cut, big mouth, who spouts falsities and calls them facts. Who cares if our grandchildren face global warming to the point of cancer and dehydration and rationing water? Apparently not you nor "the mouth." Where and what was he spewing when the Republican administration was tearing this country apart? As for that, where were you?
Slowhand....

Nov 20th 2009 2:54PM You are 'right on' my friend. History tells us that when times are tough, say like in the early days in Germany before WWII, things seem to go haywire with people. Then they start listening to groups spouting mean stuff towards those in power; then there appears on the horizon -- brown shirts, kinda like Black Water troops. We hear vitriolic verbiage generally not allowed in the past ... people are angry and they reach out to the closest punching bags. Our country men and women should remember that what we are now going through was not brought on in just a few months. You cannot send American jobs overseas and not expect it to have a repercussion on all those depending upon those firms. If Americans want to blame anyone, ask all Republicans why they allowed their administration to do all that they did and not do what they could have done. Put a Nazi uniform on the mouth, that guy with the crew cut who spouts hate ... come on, folks, see it for what it is!

Hot Seat: Joe the Plumber {Politics Daily}
Oct 17th 2008 2:48PM Hey, Joe, no license to practice? And, since you are a Republican, do they let you 'fool' around with their plumbing?
What was it that theSchrub tried to say, "Fool me once la dee da dee da!"
I read these comments and find that everything that has happened and probably everything that will ever happen is the Dem's fault. Gee whiz you guys are just living and wearin' those ole halos to death!
Seriously, if you cannot see through the "Joe the Plumber" crapola, it is no wonder that you believe all the other stuff that has been thrown your way. If you were not Republicans, I would feel sorry for you. As it is, you deserve it!!
The lies, the outing of jobs, the loss at the stock market, the invasion being called a war and, golly gee, some kind of a win on that one, hey guys and gals!
AOL Straw Poll: Oct. 10-17 {Politics Daily}
Oct 10th 2008 3:13PM 1 - Your Straw Map is and has been incorrect for lo these many months, get with the program and FIX IT!!
2 - Such vitriolic garbage ... and so I ask the question: Is that all you've got to offer? Obviously, you are happy that the economy is sinking us to third world status; more people are out of work (and, brothers and sisters, you might just be next); is it not kind of scary that there are now some highly placed Republicans rethinking McCain support while some low-life Republicans are shouting and yelling for tar and feathers?
3 - I might be missing something here ... where is the care for our country?
4 - Where do you see this great country of ours heading?
5 - Third world is not what I like seeing in front of me...and, NO, I AM NOT BETTER OFF THAN I WAS BEFORE! Get a grip, think it over, it is not party first, it is "will we have a country left after four more years of this mis-management?".
