Jul 23rd 2008 2:34PM Havana Club tried to market in the US but Bacardi went out of its way to make legislation to crush it. It's only illegal because of a 1999 ruling to ensure Bacardi didn't have any competition in the states.
This is ridiculous and this one of the many reasons people need to stop buying Bacardi.

Please join and buy better rum! Bacardi is a monopoly and a completely despicable company, and they don't deserve our business.

If we get 10,000 people to show interest, we will create a co-op alternative to the major Telecom companies here. This means lower prices and pressure on Vodafone, Telstra et al. to offer competitive rates.
