Jul 23rd 2008 2:34PM Havana Club tried to market in the US but Bacardi went out of its way to make legislation to crush it. It's only illegal because of a 1999 ruling to ensure Bacardi didn't have any competition in the states.
This is ridiculous and this one of the many reasons people need to stop buying Bacardi.
I started up a campaign to boycott it: http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/boycott-bacardi-buy-better-booze
Please join and buy better rum! Bacardi is a monopoly and a completely despicable company, and they don't deserve our business.
Jul 17th 2008 12:33PM Anyone reading from Australia who's frustrated with Vodafone's expensive iPhone plans needs to see this:
If we get 10,000 people to show interest, we will create a co-op alternative to the major Telecom companies here. This means lower prices and pressure on Vodafone, Telstra et al. to offer competitive rates.
Please take a look! It only takes a second.
