Bernie Madoff 'astonished' Feds flunked 'accounting 101' and missed his fraud {Daily Finance}
Oct 31st 2009 4:09PM You're perfectly right, Sonja: in the U.S., you can become an accountant and graduate from the so-called "best schools" with a LOW IQ (110 and under). All it takes is a little bit of work and a good memory. However, once they get hired - above others, needless to say - they are incompetent because after all, it's math and intelligence is required to do a better than average job! I get paid to fix financial gaffes created by accountants! LOL I have a B.A. in Math and Physics but learned finance ON MY OWN! (But am a Mensa member with 152 IQ on the Stanford Binet II...) WHEN ARE EMPLOYERS GOING TO REALIZE THAT A NICE DIPLOMA MEANS S**T, IT'S THE IQ THAT MATTERS! I guess after they get screwed over and over... ^_^ My clients got the message. Last week, yet another one hired me after his accountant failed to notice that an employee was using his credit card for his own car rentals instead of the company's. I found it out in 10 minutes and a phonecall when I offered said client to look at his company's finances for free to see if I could improve his business. Sad...

Oct 25th 2009 8:11AM Oh, and yeah, I agree with whomever said this already: VERY BAD Photoshop job! LOL I know some 8 year olds who would probably do better! And apparently, Ralph Lauren LOVES 8 year olds so much, he's photoshopping their bodies onto those of adult women... ^_^ Seriously, this makes me want to boycott the guy's stuff (I'm looking at my closet and if I don't throw out everything RL, I will - at least - not wear it for a while).

Oct 17th 2009 6:03AM Someone here went "I think the pic was altered...". Nah, you think??!? And tells the girl to go eat a big mac. HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH THE GENERALIZATION THAT IF SOMEONE IF SKINNY, IT MEANS THEY'RE NOT EATING. That is utter B.S.!!!! I eat. Hell, I LOVE FOOD, I LOVE CHOCOLATE, I PIG OUT AT LAS VEGAS BUFFETS (5 to 6 plates), I LOVE FILET MIGNONS (I can eat 4 and that's with the rest of the meal). I once ate 56 pieces of sushi (and other things). Most chocolate mousses at once: 11. In a nutshell I eat all day, about 5-6,000 calories per day. And I don't throw it up either! I let it all digest nicely and about an hour later, I'm starving! And guess what? I'M 106 LBS AT 5'6. I'm not SKINNY, because I have no bones protruding. I'm 34-22-34, so I have a butt (I did a lot of ballet since age 4) and C-cups up there. I just have a THIN SKELETON, lean muscle on top of it (I box) and very little fat. EVERYBODY'S FRAME IS DIFFERENT AND WHILE SOME PEOPLE LOOK SKINNY AT A CERTAIN WEIGHT, OTHERS DO NOT. If a girl's hip bones measure 36 inches around and she loses all the weight on them, she'll look skinnier than the girl with 34 inches hips who has an inch of fat on them! THAT is what causes some girls to misperceive their bodies!

Oct 17th 2009 5:35AM Bravo, Lola! The girls in your high school will NOT stay the way they are. I recently saw pics online of the girls I went to boarding school with (a looooooooooooooong time ago! lol). Back then, they were ALL thin (that was in Cannes, France, where most women stay thin). Now, some of them - the ones with Italian decent - have ballooned and given up on looking attractive! They dress like grandmothers! LOL And these were the stuck up ones who made fun of me for not being stunning since I was a child model. It was about the measurements, the training (not many children can be controlled perfectly and work many hours), the absence of scraped knees even! Anyway, YOU are beautiful on the inside and that makes people actually LOOK better. And trust me, give it a few years, the roles will be reversed... The round teenagers bloom and thin out, the thin ones somehow start to swell. It may seem impossible to you now, but chemistry changes and the body follows. YOU SHOULD FEEL SORRY FOR THEM BECAUSE, UNLIKE YOU, THEY LEARNED TO DERIVE SELF-ESTEEM ONLY FROM THEIR LOOKS! WHEN THE LOOKS GO - AND THEY WILL - SO WILL ALL THEIR SELF-WORTH. I've seen it time and again...

Oct 17th 2009 5:11AM Kayde, it's not the Photoshop jobs people are boiling over, it's the fact that altering images that way creates damage. And in more ways than one: young girls/women (and even older ones if they're impressionable) see this as "that's what is considered beautiful; that's what I have to look like if I am to be considered beautiful". And believe me, the last time I was in Tokyo, I saw pics of skinny white women EVERYWHERE. JAPAN IS NOW - FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER - HAVING A HUGE ANOREXIA PROBLEM! And let's not forgot what it does to the models: one died a few months ago because she was trying to lose weight.

Oct 17th 2009 4:41AM It's not the WAISTS that are out of proportion as all the titles for this story all over the net are stating. It is the HIPS. Most models have 24 to 26 inches waists which, if you consider that they are 5'9 and over, is normal if not a little over. Everyone seems to have forgotten that only 50 years ago, normal measurements for a 5'9 woman were 36-24-36!!!! And MANY REGULAR WOMEN HAD THESE MEASUREMENTS! Yet today, NO ONE has them. Models especially: they're expected to have non-existent hips! Certainly, standards of beauty must have changed because the 12-inch difference between chest/hip and waist measurements has become 8 inches!!!

Oct 20th 2008 8:02PM By the way, that's a 28 year old woman?!? My mother looks younger! I guess Tennis makes you spend a lot of time outside in the sun, thereby the early wrinkles... Tea Leoni looks younger than her and is what, 40 or so? They say cheating is never about looks, it's about the sex OR being able to experience a new you with a new person (no old issues surfacing yet so you feel more valued).

This situation of his ought to convince X-Files die-hards once and for all that he is NOT Mulder! LOL

Nice title, but it shows thatin America, you don't have to have a very high IQ to graduate - and teach to others! Before you uselessly address MY situation in that regard, let me save you some time and do it myself: MY IQ is 152, I have a doctorate in Math AND Physics and graduated top of my country the year I did (that would be France, #3 in the world in Math when the U.S. are #28). Now on to your *cute* posting: pretty, but meaningless. Without even using the IQ, it's obvious it's based on a faulty premise - an unscientific concept in itself - and that is: the 10th guy, who is paying for most of the others according to you, doesn't really make a dent in his income - or fortune for that matter - because while his buddies go back to work or to their crappy apartments, he's off to Le Meridien in Bora Bora at $700 a night for a overwater bungalow! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, realize that most of us who DO make good money still have a conscience and don't mind having some of our pay help out those in need. Selfishness has no place in this economic atmosphere. Most Europeans saw this coming - looking at how credit works here - twenty years ago by the way. Did U.S. economists?
