Squatters in Littleton, Colo., Couple's Home Refuse to Vacate Despite Judge's Ruling {AOL Real Estate}
Jul 31st 2012 5:34PM I agree that what may have been victims at one point are now the con artistsand they are playing a disgusting legal game with the actual owners of the house. When the real owners came back and walked into the house "scaring" the squatters, they should not have left until at all until the whole matter was cleared up. - retraining order my butt. restraining order or not, if the court ever gets those con artists to vacate they will most likely trash the house on their way out because people like that do that kind on thing (and then the real owners will have all the expense of fixing it) . See, recently someone asked when is ever a reason to need an ar-15 gun? If I were the real home owner, I'd go in MY house armed and those filthy squatters would have 3 minutes to get out or else!!
Karen Perry Loses Three Kids, Ex-Husband and Now Home? {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 1st 2012 2:51PM Mick, don't use someone's tragedy to make your pathetic and inaccurate political statements. You are so wrong. As soon as I find out if the organization raising money for Ms Perry is legit, I will send money to help her. I am hard to the right politically and I have every bit as m uch compassion as you lefties claim to have a exclusive hold on. her kids died and she should get help and get to stay in the house where she has so many memories until she's ready to move on. Show your support for this lady or just shut the hell up.
Staying, Not Selling? Consider 'Aging in Place' Upgrades {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 10th 2011 12:25PM I am only 36 but somewhere between accepting that we will be stuck in this house (what we thought would be our starter home) and having had breast cancer since March 2010 (free of cancer now) I have been considering some of the same upgrades they are discussing in this article. When I was exhuasted from chemo and had to spend lots of time at home, I started a list of things that need improvement in this house. a taller toilet would be great, and if I ever remodel my bathroom I also want one of those bath/showers for the less-abled. and if I don't need to worry about appealing to buyers (given the housing market) then I'm going to paint and be creative about it. LIfe is short, shorter for some than others, your home should be easy for you and fit your likes. I majored in Architecture in college and now I find that I like the idea of helping people get in touch with the experience they want their house to be. But I need to do my own before I can see that service to others.
Antonio Banderas absent for part of Melanie's battle with addiction {Celestrellas}
Sep 23rd 2011 1:30PM I've never met these people but just from this story, it seems like Melanie is super lucky Antonio has stuck around. I know plenty of couples that have divorced due to some form of substance abuse, so if Antonio supports his wife through 3 bouts of addiction and hasn't left her and taken the kids then he must really love her. Yes, marriage is "for better and for worse" but I don't think I'd stick around or subject my kids to repeat issues like hers! Wow, who knew he was such a kind, friendly and unpretentious person? It's a nice tidbit to know.
Renaming Your Rescue Dog {Pawnation OLD}
Sep 3rd 2011 11:48PM The dog I have now, I found at the humane society when she was right at one year old. I never was told why she was up for adoption but it doesn't seem she was ever abused by a previous owner. She was very well behaved and gentle. Her name was Ginger according to the shelter but I renamed her Sasha. She quickly took to the name, we brought home my husband's dog that had stayed at his mom's house for awhile to keep sasha company and we've had two kids. She's great with our little boys and we all love her. She's really the dog I've always wanted. Don't pay a fortune at a pet store, adopt/save from a shelter and get a wonderful animal friend for way less.
'Father Albert': 'Green Mile' actor, 51, and 16-year-old bride defend marriage {Celestrellas}
Jul 21st 2011 8:04PM I think that in some phases of life big age differences can work but 51 and 16 is disgusting. When i was 16 I was in love with a 20 year old, that seemed normal to me at the time. When I grew up I understood why that relationship didn't work. at 16 she is not mature enough to know what she'll want in the long run and he's a perverted old man taking advantage of that. Can't believe the parents signed off on it. ICK!
Kids Who Read to Dogs are Better Students {ParentDish}
Jul 16th 2011 1:43PM seems like a wonderful idea. I love dogs, we have dogs that enjoy the attention and a 5 year old that is learning to read. perfect match. Thanks for this article.
Report: Natalie Portman's Baby Boy's Name Revealed {PopEater}
Jul 6th 2011 2:50PM yes, she could have named her kid those names you suggest but the name she chose is not too weird of a name and it's better than what you suggest. When are people going to learn that if they want to name a baby then they should have their own kid? geez, I can't believe I've been driven to stick up for a celeb.
Friend: Jonathan Rhys Meyers Did Not Attempt Suicide {PopEater}
Jun 30th 2011 3:21PM suicide is a selfish act. with that said, I do believe that there are some mental issues that make it almost impossible to realize that suicide is selfish. Then there are people who know they are wreckless with their lives and in a dark place but just don't care. It's terrible for the people left behind to deal with the aftermath and guilt. I hope this actor is able to get the help he needs but sometimes (sadly) people are just determined to end it. After having cancer, my depression lessened and I look at life differently but I'll admit that IF I had to go through the bone pains I experienced as a side effect to chemo (temporarily) for a really long time, I'd wish for death but thank God, that pain was short term.
Boy Born Without Skin Is Wrapped in Bandages Each Day {ParentDish}
Jun 29th 2011 3:49PM may God bless this baby with healing and a lifetime of health and happiness. God, I ask you to wrap that baby and his family in your love and get them through this the best way possible. Fellow humans, don't be rude and heartless, you never know what could be wrong or go wrong with a baby. It's certainly not the baby's fault and I'm sure that the parents are going through hell wondering what will happen with their son. Some of you are heartless.
