Apr 12th 2010 3:50PM Just read some of the posts from people who have adopted severely disturbed children or their biological child was disturbed. There IS NO HELP for the most severely disturbed children. Social services does not help -- they are too overworked. In California, you cannot put mentally ill, dangerous children permanently in a locked facility. You can only put them in a mental hospital temporarily. They solve the problem by placing them in juvenile hall. If you have a LOT of money, you can place them in facilities out of state. My whole family was in danger. I stayed up many nights to be sure that my other children were not murdered while they slept. This child got the best care that money could buy and all of the love any child could hope for. Some children need to be placed in facilities for the severely mentally ill for their own safety and the safety of others. My other children are grown now, but they are still traumatized by what they were put through with this one child. I will not judge the woman who put her child on a plane. It may have been the only thing she could think of to keep the other child safe. Maybe some good will come of this and it will focus some attention on the plights of families with dangerously mentall ill children.

The new Disney characters reflect much of America now. The children in my family will love these two because they can identify. Their Mom is black and their Dad is white.

Dec 8th 2008 3:24PM You are so wrong ladyg21 about PETA. They have made no secret about how they want to abolish ALL pet ownership. Their shelters also have the highest kill rate of any shelter. Some of them went to jail last year because they used fraudulent means to get animals that people were giving away. They then killed them in the back of the van they were using and dumped them in the trash. PETA is well funded because misguided people think they are an animal welfare organization. Without any creams I look about 10 years younger than most people my age, but it became time to really combat the wrinkles. Retin-A and Renova are different names for tretinoin. This is a prescription product that I found works really well, but most people have to start off using it slowly, because it will initially irritate your face and you will peel. This effect will subside. Tretinoin increases cell turnover and you will definitely get a more youthful appearance. I alternate this with Strivectin, which is also effective. I tried Prevage, but I had a severe allergic reaction to it. I did a spot test for several days to check for any reaction, but I did not react at that time. I had no reaction until I had used the product for about a week. My eyes swelled shut and, my face swelled and my neck looked as if I had a goiter from the swelling. All of these products need to make sample sizes that are large enough to test for about a week. It is a big investment to buy a full size and find that you can't use it.

Oct 6th 2006 11:21PM Somebody's in outer space if they think a size 10 is overweight unless you are 6'3". I am 5'9" and a size 10. My BMI is 19.8 and I am considered UNDERWEIGHT. However, even if I was only 5'5" and the same weight, I would still be considered a healthy normal weight. The average person who wears a size 10 is healthy and normal.
