May 11th 2010 3:40PM Oil IS king... without it, the economy stops dead and people lose their jobs! You have no clue what you're talking about, this is one of the risks we take with ocean drilling.
On the other hand, without new sources of oil, we will be paying upwards of $8 a gallon for gasoline, not to mention how much electricity will go up - many electric power plants run on oil. How much will the cost of food and other goods go up - all are transported by methods using oil byproducts (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, etc....)as fuel. How much will it cost to fly when airlines are paying exorbitant amounts for fuel?
Before you left wing nut cases start calling for a stop to all drilling, what will the cost be? Are you willing to change the American lifestyle? Are you willing to go back to the days of "rationing" of gasoline? Your knee jerk reaction is not well thought out.

Apr 11th 2010 11:07AM It's a pathetic show that is trying to get normal people to be more accepting of an immoral lifestyle choice. Those that watch the show are either pro immorality or are curious to see what these freaks are like. It is only a matter of time until the fascination wears off.
As for those that are intolerant of moral people that speak out against homosexuality... Why not practice what you preach Why don't YOU "tolerate" others that disagree with you? I have never claimed I was "tolerant," it is my duty/right to speak out against that which is wrong.
As for those that claim we should not "judge" others, do you feel the same about pedophiles? How about rapists? Murderers? Should we ban the courts, since they sit in judgement of others? How consistent is your premise? If it's not consistent, it is not logical.

Perhaps you are referring to somebody's soul.... Because THAT is what Jesus was referring to when he said not to judge others, that only the Father in heaven can do that!

Mar 1st 2010 2:50AM First, the woman has cancer that has spread, the odds of her being "cured" are almost nil. She may hang on long enough that they can take the child at 22 weeks and it can survive.
Second, claiming a woman is going to get an abortion if she wants one bad enough is irrelevant. Just because one is willing to break the law, does that mean we should throw out the laws? Should we make murder legal because people will continue to murder, regardless of the law? How about rape, should that be made legal because people are still going to rape, regardless of what the law says? Do you see how illogical your premise is?
Third, while "self preservation" may be a part of the human makeup, somethings are stronger - like the willingness of a parent to die in order to save their child. Would you be willing to die to save your child? As a firefighter, I put my life at risk (I'm willing to die) to save complete strangers! Perhaps your feelings for "self preservation" are stronger than your parental instincts toward your own children - there are many people like that, we refer to them as "selfish" people.

That is when the cells start to multiply, all the DNA is already there for a complete human life. There is no scientific debate about this, there is only the denial of pro abortion activists based on their version of subjective morality, they have no "science" backing them up.
