Aug 8th 2006 10:02PM It's depressing, and every time there's a flood of any sort, all of the trash from the streets of the flooded areas goes running right into the water. Even more sobering is the fact that just about every beach, creek, river, lake, and ocean has its share of litter and pollutants. There are a lot of humans, and they are making their mark, but not in a good way.
Every bottle thrown onto the ground, every piece of trash thrown into a creek is a slap in the face to nature. We need to clean up the mess that we made, and we need to change our society's ways so that people can become more responsible for their actions.
Taylor Hicks Gets His Rhyme On With Snoop {The Boombox}
Jun 24th 2006 5:25PM People will probably get mad at me for this, but here goes... I was wondering how Taylor Hicks could say that rap music has advanced lyrics when all it seems the rappers are talking about is pimpin' and drugs. I think Tupac was a very creative man, and it is unfortunate that he died, and now we are left with thousands of rappers that write lyrics that degrade women and brag about the women that they have slept with. Obviously not EVERY rapper raps about this kind of matter, but the majority of them do. Look at every rap video- is there a single one without the guy standing in front of a Cadillac with slutty girls dancing around him? That is extremely pretentious.
But maybe our society has gotten so acclimated to this kind of stuff that their expectations have fallen, and it is no longer "pretentious."
