MMA Fighter Justin Eilers Shot and Killed {Fanhouse MMA Blog}
Dec 27th 2008 3:39AM The man who was killed was a professional fighter, therefore his hands are considered lethal weapons. This made him as well armed as the owner of the house that shot him. A man whom you have invited into your house begins to cause a disturbance, is asked to leave and then refuses. In the process he starts assaulting you, your family, and your other invited guests. Not to mention destroying your valuables. Become learned of the law before you make a statement such as yours. He was not shot in the back, which would have insinuated that he was going away and was therefore no threat to the person that shot him. He was shot in the chest, which means he was facing the person that shot him and was therefore a threat. Of course, even if he had been going away from the man, who's to say he could not have been threatening a loved one of the person that shot him.
Passenger lights cigarette, punches flight attendant and diverts flight to Denver {Gadling}
Jun 20th 2008 1:58AM I think this is just one more example of passengers on planes that think they're the only ones that matter. As a smoker I have no sympathy for the lady. I too have made some long flights and had to wait what seemed like days to be able to light up again. But rules are rules people. Just because you don't like them or agree with them doesn't give you the right to pick and choose which ones you're going to break. As for her sentence, well she jeopardized the lives of the passengers and crew as well as people living in the flight path of that aircraft just because she was immature and threw a tantrum when she didn't get her own way. Not to mention the time and money it cost to divert the flight to Denver.
