Top American Destinations To Avoid In 2013 {Gadling}

Jan 8th 2013 4:37PM I enjoyed my trip to Reno. I did some shopping in the shops near the casinos and found some nice things to give the following Christmas. The Truckee River is there and the forest is nearby. The shows were very entertaining. It isn't the fast paced Las Vegas, but that is not what you go to Reno for.

Top American Destinations To Avoid In 2013 {Gadling}

Jan 8th 2013 4:30PM I frequently visit my family in Los Angeles; I live in San Francisco. If you plan your trip to Los Angeles and the County area, there is so much to see, you won't have enough time. From the La Brea Tar Pits and Farmers Market down town, to the Hunington Library and Gardens in San Marino in the county, there is everything in the world you could possibly want to see. Get several guides and go online. In addition, it is not always smoggy; it is usually not smoggy. I can't remember running into smog in the last several years, and I visit four times a year. Plan your trip.

Soldier Flies American Flags Upside-Down to Protest Obama's Re-Election {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 4th 2012 1:22AM Christine Leifker: Obama did get a wide enough majority of votes, with so many Republicans watching while voting was going on, that it was clear that there was no voter fraud. There were no reports of voter fraud from any of the many Republican groups who were watching at the polls to make sure nobody cheated.

Remember, in 2000 Gore got a wide majority of the popular vote, but the Supreme Court still chose Bush. When members of Press organizations were given the uncounted ballots after that ruling, they counted them while being watched by the public. Gore had far more votes than Bush; Gore won. There is no means mentioned in the Constitution that would permit the US Supreme Court to take over the counting of votes from a State, without a finding of fraud or a violation of Civil Rights, and there was none. It was a violation of State's Rights, and Federal Law. But Gore did not want to create a Constitutional Crisis by insisting on his rights.

I was in Florida working on the Obama campaign. I talked to many Republicans who were so angry that the Republican Governor had cut back on early voting to suppress the votes of working people, that they were going to vote for Obama. Never get voters angry; Republicans forgot that. Even after Florida voters were told Obama didn't need Florida to win, voters stood in line for hours to vote, because they were angry. That is how Obama won Florida. In the precinct I worked the Republican running for the House crushed the Democrat. Obama won that precinct. There were about 2500 votes altogether.

Soldier Flies American Flags Upside-Down to Protest Obama's Re-Election {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 4th 2012 1:02AM We learned during the war in Viet Nam, that if you are in the military, if you protest against the war or the President, there is a price to be paid. Many members of the military were willing to pay the price, and did protest.

I hope this female member of the military understands that there is a price to pay, and she will be required to pay that price. While people who are members of the military do not give up all their civil rights, they do give up certain of those civil rights, and one of them is Freedom of Speech.

If she did not know it then, and does not know it now, she will be informed in an unpleasant manner, and will believe that she is put upon, because she is ignorant, that is uninformed, and has made no effort to discover her rights and obligations. She will get what she deserves.

Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick Angers Hamptons Neighbors With Hedge Blocking Views {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 15th 2012 2:15AM There is a thing called a "spite fence". It is a fence or other obstruction that is built at a place or in a manner to spite a neighbor or enemy and for no other real reason. It is illegal and the owner can be made to take it down.

Gary Harrington of Oregon Jailed for Illegal Rainwater Reservoirs on His Property {AOL Real Estate}

Aug 13th 2012 8:50PM How is the State harmed by these reservoirs? What has it lost? What danger do they create? Apparently, they create a benefit to the State by providing a source of water to fight fires in the area. Retracting the permits seem to have been political, with no advantage to the State, only detriment. I hope he gets enough support to fight this decision. From both left and right, it is wrong.

Senator's Mortgage Trouble Highlights Positive Housing Trend {AOL Real Estate}

May 27th 2012 2:36AM Let's see if this experience has any influence over the way he votes. I bet it won't. The Democrats have tried to pass legislation that would make Banks that we bailed out, bail out home owners who are under water. But the Republicans always stopped it. Maybe he won't run again and become a lobbyist like all the rest of them, so he can make a living.
