Airline Fees on the Rise: What You Need to Know {AOL Travel News}
Apr 7th 2010 7:36PM It may be a luxury for you, but it is a necessary part of my job.
I am a field service engineer and when I am called in to fix a machine, it's because the client had exhausted their own efforts and is loosing money due to decreased or lost production.
I can't just drive to Santiago, Chile or Cebu City in the Phillippines. Or from Chicago to Baltimore for that matter. Yes, my company pays for the ticket and the fees, but it still amounts to bait and switch when you buy a ticket and then have all the upselling and add ons.
I fly Southwest whenever possible. Funny how the airline with the least fees is the only one making any money.

Apr 7th 2010 7:26PM Check the schedule, Soutwest is best, and they do fly out of LGA now. They started around the same time as they added Boston.

Apr 7th 2010 7:19PM I think they should charge for carry on baggage beyond a small computer bag, but not for checked baggage.
Brining all your crap on the plane is just plain selfish. You aren't that important, you can wait the 10 minutes for your bag to come out on the belt.
Twins Win, Woman Does Infield Face Plant During Post-Game Excitement {Fanhouse Backporch}
Oct 8th 2009 1:51AM It must be a real slow news day... not very spectacular, not even funny. Ok, sometiemes it is funny to see people fall, but that one was not worth watching. Stop wasting my time AOL/Time Warner with teasers to worthless and time wasting stuff.
Your hotel remote may be covered in semen and urine {Gadling}
May 15th 2009 6:32PM You hit the nail right on the head. I couldn't have said it better myself. I have been travelling for 32 years and I almost never get sick. People in this country are overly paranoid about germs. Man has survived thus far because we have a natural immunity. If you can't handle a few germs, then maybe you weren't meant to survive and reproduce.
Thanks..
America's Most Hated Foods {Slashfood}
Mar 18th 2009 12:40AM It's interesting how most of the really negative comments come from people that were forced by their parnets to eat certain foods. I am not a fan of Mayo, but my mother grew up in the depression with an "ice box" not a refrigrator. Mayo in those days did not have the preservatives and in a relatively primitive ice box it could spoil quickly and be potentially fatal. Her paranoia spread to me. I do like it on a chicken sandwich, but Never on beef. That is an abomination. Outside of that, I would eat the ass out of a skunk if I was hungry enough.
Most Annoying Airline Passengers Ever {Lemondrop}
Dec 30th 2008 5:59PM Ditto to all those who mentioned people using your seat back for support when they get up. On one flight time this guy behind me did it twice, getting a handful of my hair the second time. I heard him stirring around later and thought he might be getting ready to get up again, so I leaned forward a little and held in the recline button on my seat. Sure enough it worked and he flopped back into his seat.
