Why Luxembourg matters {Gadling}
Aug 21st 2010 8:24PM Eric,
Thank you for writing that little note to all about your experiences in Luxembourg and to mention Metz, France where some of my relatives came from. I've been passed down stories of the place and how lovely it was at one time (and I hear, remains to this day) and the ballet which I loved and studied myself and the flowering lanes and waterways and the great Cathedral. I dreamt of being able to go there, but time has left me unable to travel, albiet in spirit to this fairy tail place. Your brought it to life in your note! :)
My uncle was there in the Battle of the Bulge (in that area) and he's since passed away. Our last name was Metz, but then, it could be everyone from that area was destined to share that name just because it was easier for Americans to say! :)
Does the name still exist there ------ if ever?! :) They spoke a French/German language also! Take care, thanks for the nostalgia. PS, I've a picture of the Moselle on my desktop! Our relatives went to Pennsylvania like so many others. Sorry your love story didn't work out, you should go back and maybe find another? It could happen! :) Take care now, RitaMarie
Ben Stein is off his rocker in dissing unemployed {WalletPop}
Jul 20th 2010 3:33PM The whole idea behind the conservative view is to "cause" American workers to lower their standards of pay to be more in line with the cheap labor they can find elsewhere, At the same time this enables them to enjoy a larger profit on their investments and products. They want to re distribute wealth by forcing the workers to accept and expect much less for the work they do. Soon there will be but two classes of people, the very wealthy and the rest of us. The old "haves and have nots" is still in effect in their way of thinking. Forcing us into a lower standard of living is their direction.
Unavailable Men: Luv Coach Q&A {BV on Love}
Jan 16th 2010 9:13PM Men who say they can't leave their wives are lying.
Men who see you on the side are also seeing their wives and telling you otherwise.
Wives have shared so much more with the wife than with the other woman.They share something deeper.
Sex is not the same with a wife as it is with a woman that you have no ties to, and didn't care enough to marry in the first place.
Most guys that cheat, pick on women who have low self esteem and are willing to take leftovers in life. It's about the preditor and the prey.
There's a life's meaning and committment, and then theirs a thing you do now and then to fill empty times, the girlfriend is the empty times, the wife and kids are the meaning and committment.It's sort of like going fishing, hunting, bowling, so forth.
Only stupid women, naive, low self esteem, tend to go after or believe men who are married are going to give up their lives for a quick roll in the hay now and then when there's nothing else to do that's important right then.
Another words, he's blowing smoke and passing time and playing games, and your buying his line. Pressure him and he'll usually find another off and on diversion, 9 outta 10 times.
Most people don't feel sorry for you, they look down on you. You represent the girl that is desperate and any guy will due and is so easy to toss aside.
There ARE times when a husband will leave his family and go off with another woman, and in many of these cases, he'll repeat that same action on you. He's what women call a "short timer".
In short, don't be a sucker, it's as old as time!
And there's another one born every five minutes!
It's easy pickens for a man, and they have a 6th sense when it comes to spotting the easy mark.
Have some self respect and value yourself and some single man will cross your path and you can swoop him up. Life is short, look for quality and be quality.
All In the Hands . . . Or Is It? {Personal Articles}

The 5 Women You Must Date {Personal Articles}
Sep 5th 2008 11:02PM Married 48 years. If you both can't bear to be without the other after a year, get married. Don't bother to analyze so much. You'll never figure it out, it's all chemicals and genes anyway! It's not an intellectual pursuit! There are no guarantees in life. Throw your stupid hat in the ring! Oh, and for God sakes, don't live together before your married. You need time apart to see if you miss each other. Be tough, marriage isn't for sissies. When you fight, and you will, don't ever ever humiliate the other persons very soul, stay on the subject. I.E., don't hit em' where it deeply hurts. Always take the high road. Always offer a back door. Be there when life sucks, be there, when life is great, don't leave the other one out. Don't hide money! Live within your means.
Share the kids if you have them, share your feelings and your dreams and your thoughts, but save one little spot in your brain just for you, and don't lose yourself. Keep your childs side. Care about the world around you, educate yourself.
Take part in life! If it comes to cooking, cleaning, or perfume, pick the perfume, screw the dishes! Don't let the sex get boring or sparse! Don't be or act the victim. And if your abused, pack your gear and leave and don't look back.
Hot Seat: Who Should Replace Tim Russert? {Politics Daily}
Jun 16th 2008 2:14AM My guess is that NBC will ask Tom Brokaw to take a temporary position as moderator until a permanent replacement can take over the spot. Tom has retired and probably doesn't wish to hold that position but most likely would do so for a short time on behalf of his friend Tim and his loyalty to NBC. Possibly Jim Learer (sp?) or Andrea Mitchell?
