Plane Answers: Why can't airlines wait at the gate vs. in a queue on the taxiway? {Gadling}

Oct 5th 2009 7:48PM On time statistics are logged regarding on time arrivals, not departures. So, if they flight leaves the gate on time and then sits in queue for 30 minutes, it most likely will arrive late and that is counted as a late flight.

A silver lining in the friendly skies: Airlines are leaving on time {WalletPop}

Nov 12th 2008 9:41PM CO8661 does exist. From EWR to AVP according to www.continental.com. That also shows that it's not really a Continental flight....it's operated by CommutAir (the real airline) as a Continental Connection flight (a marketing agreement). And, no, I do not, nor have I ever worked for Continental.

Dog Comes Home After Five Years {Asylum}

Jul 18th 2008 12:00PM Oreo, If you'd pay attention and look at the details you'll see that the dog wasn't just found a few miles away, rather it was closer to 900 miles in Savannah, GA. Oreo, I feel sorry for you if you're so negative that you cannot see how this is newsworthy. All news does not have to be negative.

Companies that vanished: Eastern Air Lines grounded by deregulation, union buster {BloggingStocks}

Jun 15th 2008 1:31AM I also worked for EAL in TPA and went on a few of Luigi's trips. What fun that was. I was hired in 1978 and remember having fun working the ticket counter with Denise, Don, Felix and our supervisor Ann Epley. Also worked in BOSRR, MIARR, MIA domestic tkt counter and then went to System One. It was like a huge family, not just a company to work for. I miss EA for sure as well as all the great people I worked with. Gary Reardon - giza5564@aol.com.
