'Underworld 4' Will Bring Back Kate Beckinsale {Moviefone Blog}

Sep 24th 2010 5:57PM It would be a bit hard to explain why she all of a sudden has water balloons attached to her chest as she tries to run, jump and fight. This isn't Baywatch.
Besides, she looks great just as she is. She'd look ridiculous with implants.

I Became a Stepmom by 25 {Lemondrop}

Jun 3rd 2010 11:37PM I think the writer is not bragging about her current wealth, but about the accessories she bought in her former marriage that are no longer the sacred items they used to be. Remember, she said she shopped incessantly in her first marriage, probably to cover for something missing in her life.
Now, the most important things in her life is her husband and her kids, not the bags and the shoes she used to buy.
I love the thought of being able to do what she does.

Free Hershey's candy Pieces {WalletPop}

Feb 1st 2010 4:10PM This program has already ended. That sucks!

'Survivor' Star Jennifer Lyon Dies of Breast Cancer {PopEater}

Jan 20th 2010 8:52PM My cousin was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer last year and has been fighting ever since. The worst part is that she knew something was wrong last January, but because of numerous family problems, she put herself on the back burner, thinking the other problems were more important than her own.
I pray every day that she beats this, but I have always heard the IBC has dismal survival rates.
Ladies, PLEASE remember that your health is just as important as everyone else's in your family. If you don't take care of yourself, who will?

2010 Olympic Medals Raise Eyebrows {Fanhouse Backporch}

Oct 16th 2009 5:05PM The Orca whale isn't the focus, it's the artist. The shape's based on a piece of artwork, not an exact copy of that artwork. I think the front view looks better than the side view.
I like the fact that every medal will be unique because of the markings on them. Why not update them a bit? It'll make each Olympic Game's medals unique to the region they were played in. As long as we don't go far-out and go to some synthetic material like acrylic, I'm happy.

Company Makes Money from Deadly Urban Trend: "Sipping Syrup" {BV on Money}

Oct 4th 2009 9:31PM Paul, have you lost your mind??? There is enough bad press and bad advice out in the public forum without some greedy corporation trying to make a buck off a dangerous and illegal trend! Remember the energy drink Cocaine? Yep, it got pulled. Remember the candy that supposedly tasted like marijuana? Yep, it got pulled, too. We need to be the advocates for our children and try to give them enough guidance that we don't have to hover over them all the time.
Lil Wayne is NO role model. You think he's doing what it takes to make the money? Hmmmm, let's apply this to your possible children. Do you want your daughter hustling on the streets with any guy who has money in his pocket? She's just doing what she has to to make money. Maybe you'd rather your son deal in drugs to make his money.
Illegal is illegal and Lil Wayne with his multiple out-of-wedlock children and his illegal sippin syrup habit will one day fall to the wayside like so many before him. Hopefully he'll wake up before he loses it all.

Jon Gosselin Says He Took 'a Lot of Abuse' From Kate {PopEater}

Sep 3rd 2009 12:42AM Considering that HE was the breadwinner and Kate convinced him to quit his job and stay at home, why are you criticizing him? They made more than enough money per episode for both of them to stay at home and raise the children.
She wanted to have children and be a stay-at-home mom, and he went to work and had a bit of an outlet from the house. (Don't we all need that sometimes?)
Once he quit his job to stay at home, she wrote her book and went on tour promoting it, leaving him to do all the work around the house with no support from her, except monetarily. Believe me, money pays the bills and buys you pretty things, but having the emotional support is more important. She never gave him that and seemed to enjoy belittling him onscreen.
Hell, why should he try to act like a grown man when she never let him??? If he didn't do everything the way she thought it should be done, she acted like he was dropped on his head when he was small.

Wal Mart's new look: Surviving - and thriving - in a recession {Daily Finance}

Jun 7th 2009 9:25PM WalMart has definitely increased their prices! I used to go there every year to buy my daughter inexpensive, canvas tennis shoes that she could run around in and tear up while keeping her nicer shoes intact. Now they don't even offer those shoes at our WalMart anymore, instead bringing in tennis shoes that cost up to $35 a pair, and they aren't even bigger name brands! I can, and do, go to Academy Sports to get name-brand shoes for less than $35. I try not to shop at WalMart as much as possible, but even I fall into their trap and go there for certain items. These mega-stores ran off the smaller stores in many towns, and are now free to change their prices as much as they wish. You can even find certain items at different WalMarts for different prices. They started out with what seemed to be good intentions, but now we can see them for what they really are.

Wake up and smell the lawsuit: Taster's Choice model goes to court {WalletPop}

Jun 7th 2009 7:46AM When you consider the large chunk of the settlement that his lawyer is going to get, $15.6 million won't be going a long way. Everyone keeps looking at the total amount of a settlement, and forgets that the lawyers claim at least a third of the settlements. Think back to the major tobacco suit. Those lawyers cleaned up!! I'll bet most of them retired from law, bought themselves a private island, and laughed themselves all the way to the bank.

Move over Buffy... here comes Anita Blake {AOL TV}

Apr 9th 2009 5:51PM I have been a huge fan of LKH for years. As soon as her newest book comes out, I have it in my hot little hands and have usually finished it before the night is over, already wanting to see the next book.
Yes, there is a lot of sex in her books, but what's wrong with that? Romance novels are an extremely profitable genre, so why not add a bit more mysticism and erotica to it? I have never had a problem with her writings and have even read the Meredith Gentry novels, too.
I can honestly say that LKH's books can make me laugh and cry in almost the same page at times. Not many who write these types of books can claim that.
