Delta Air Lines charges returning soldiers for checked bags {Gadling}

Jun 8th 2011 8:31AM This is so absolutely wrong for them to do. I won't be flying Delta any time soon.

Joy Behar: Mel Gibson Is Not Welcome on 'The View' {PopEater}

Jul 13th 2010 11:33PM Good for them. No show needs to have a guest that advocates domestic violence and racism. By the way, I've listened to both of the tapes, and I think Mel must have taken lessons from my ex-husband on how to talk to women.

Dwight Gooden Arrested for Driving Under Influence, Endangering Child {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Mar 25th 2010 12:19PM Pull your head out of that dark place where it is. Have you considered the possibility that the arresting officer may have been of the same race? Seems to me that there are an awful lot of minority people who when caught in some sort of wrongdoing, immediately blame the whole thing on race? If young enough, the arresting officer may not have even known who it was until he walked up to the car after the stop.

Tigers' Cabrera: I'm Not an Alcoholic, but 'I Asked for Help' {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Mar 1st 2010 7:57PM He's in denial. As long as he continues to be in denial, the chances are high that he will drink again, and get in trouble again.

Susan Boyle 'Needs 24-hour Care,' Her Family Claims {PopEater}

Feb 25th 2010 8:55PM Most mentally ill or upset people "look normal" on the outside. Sometimes you have to be around them for a while before you begin to see the real person. It sounds to me like she has PTSD from finding that intruder in her house. If you are already under stress and experience something traumatic, it can literally send you over the edge. After I was attacked in my own home, the first thing I did was move. I couldn't sleep in that place any more. It was something like 10 years before I could sleep in a more or less dark room. I hope Susan seeks treatment.

Woman Sued for Using iPhone, Wi-Fi in Likely Publicity Stunt {Switched}

Jan 18th 2010 1:06AM EMF my butt. He blames it on the modern gadgets? Doesn't he know the air is always full of that stuff? Transmissions from TV or radio towers, CB radios, electricity wires both indoors and outdoors....I could go on and on. Unless he lives in the middle of nowhere where public utilities don't exist and there is no cell phone service, he's going to be exposed to that stuff. I don't think he'd want to live in my place; there are 3 high voltage lines about 20 feet away from my kitchen window, with an assortment of lesser voltage, TV cable, and telephone lines below them. He'd probably think the washers in the laundry room were generating some sort of harmful emission. He lives in a car? doesn't he know CARS use, and spread electrical energy of some kind too? I think he's looking for a free lunch.

I'll have a burger and fries with everything -- hold the ammonia {WalletPop}

Walmart levies lifetime ban against gay couple {Daily Finance}

Nov 10th 2009 7:59PM The issue may lie in WalMart's religious beliefs at the corporate level. While I don't condone the way these men were treated, WalMart, as well as most other businesses, do have the right to refuse service to any one at any time. One reason I believe religion might have something to do with it is that a WalMart store in my area allows the use of little-used sections of their parking lot, well away from the doors, to be used for prayer meetings at times.

Parents Say Pornographic Candy Wrappers Are Not All That Sweet {ParentDish}

Aug 30th 2009 12:36AM It's kind of obvious that the issue here is one of what is culturally perceived as being obscene in two different areas. I am of German/American descent and my interpretation of it is that by European standards for the most part it wouldn't be thought of as being obscene, but by American standards it probably would be. Perhaps the manufacturer would want to consider a different packaging for those of it's products which are shipped to the U.S.

Sex on the beach? Be prepared to pay up! {Gadling}

Aug 7th 2009 9:29PM Don't go and do it in remote public areas....like the woods, I did that once and got poison oak on parts of my body that wouldn't usually be exposed. The doctor's bills were almost as bad as some of the fines that are listed.
