I was robbed in Quito and all I got was this poo stained t-shirt {Gadling}
Apr 6th 2011 7:39PM Like all good travel stories, it always end with the same moral, "S*** happens".
Sorry to hear you got robbed in Ecuador, I was constantly paranoid during my visit to Quito as well hearing many stories like this and luckily, nothing happened. And like you said, it is a beautiful city and well worth the risk. I'm glad you can still appreciate its beauty and don't come even close to accusing or stereotyping an entire city population.
I hope this doesn't discourage people from visiting, but only encourages them to be more prepared and cautious when they visit.
Announcing Gadling's 2011 writer contest! {Gadling}
Jan 29th 2011 1:47PM Is there any way to rescind your proposal? Maybe this doesn't bode well for my chances, but I wrote a little blurb about my Qualifications and hit Save and Next thinking that the next page would be where I would submit my proposed story.
Instead, it submitted my Qualifications as my entry. While I hope it was a well-written qualifications, I don't think anyone who reads or works at Gadling would care about that.
Is it okay to submit under a different account if I can't rescind?

Jul 7th 2010 10:48PM I love taking photos of food I eat when I travel. So many to choose from!
The most interesting I have on photo is Crocodile kabobs I had in Darwin, Australia at the Mindil Beach Outdoor Market. This came from a vendor stand called the Roadkill Cafe.

'The Amazing Race' - 'Huger Than Huge' Season Finale Recap {AOL TV}
May 10th 2010 9:27AM Not necessarily true. Phil probably has asked eliminated teams for their thoughts in the past, but no one probably said anything interesting enough to make it on air. I'm sure Phil has had extensive mat chats with all present while waiting around. If the teams involved were more gracious and congratulatory, I'm sure it would've never aired.
Gadling giveaway - win one of three JVC Everio HD camcorders! {Gadling}
Apr 14th 2010 11:40AM I'm hoping to see Central or South America. I've had a goal of reaching all 7 continents before I'm 30, and South America is next on my list.
Would love to visit Guyana with a friend who was born and raised there.
Will "settle" for a GAP volunteer tour in El Salvador.
'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' - 'Expectations' {AOL TV}
Apr 9th 2010 3:11AM Actually, last season (Samoa) and this season (HvV) filmed back-to-back. So none of the contestants had seen how Russell played as his season hadn't even aired yet when the game began.
However, you think taking a guy from the latest season to fill one of the All-Star slots and putting him on the VILLAINS tribe on top of that would be a bit of a red flag that he was probably pretty notorious...
