Gadling Gear Review: Phiaton Noise Canceling Earbuds {Gadling}

Oct 1st 2012 8:34AM "Bluetooth doesn't work when your phone is in airplane mode (that was news to me)"

At least with the iphone, once you switch to airplane mode you can go back into the settings and manually turn bluetooth back on. WiFi as well if I'm not mistaken.

Happy Birthday Gadling! Win free premium tickets to Amsterdam on OpenSkies! {Gadling}

Oct 13th 2008 8:12PM I'd love to go to Amsterdam but I would probably give the tickets as a present to my parents.

Jun 29th 2008 9:20PM Why wait? Take cash and don't use a credit card (because they are apparently required the tattle on you). Buy a RT ticket from Cancun Mexico. Flights are cheap and frequent. Screw the state department and their nonsensical travel restrictions.

Jun 29th 2008 9:04PM So many places and so little time. My short list.

-Palau for scuba diving
-The south pacific - Bora-Bora or Tahiti for the beaches, sun and water.
-Whistler BC for skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer.
-Cuba for the music, mojito, dancing and the people.
-Patagonia for hiking trekking.
-Galapagos
-The Maldives - before they are underwater :-(
-Almost anywhere in Africa

might get to cross Palau off the list next spring yeah!

Another reason not to wear Crocs {Gadling}

Jun 7th 2008 10:13PM Notice the YELLOW LINES in the picture. Aren't there signs posted everywhere stating not to put your feet on them? Escalators and elevators are not jungle jims, they are inherently dangerous and a certain amount of personal responsibility should be common sense.

Should airlines charge you by your weight? {Gadling}

Jun 4th 2008 11:27PM I think the fuel surcharge could very well be made a percentage of your weight instead of a flat fee. You are after all theoretically being charged for the amount of fuel you are consuming. Last summer we were charged the exact same fuel surcharge (over $400each) for our two children and one of them was a lap infant WITH NO SEAT! His 'fuel surcharge' was 4x his fare! Same story this summer but at least he is now over two and has a seat along with a $1000 + fuel surcharge fare. Not a very family friendly policy.
