Galley Gossip: 10 signs there's a newbie in first class {Gadling}
Dec 30th 2009 10:55PM P.S. I struggle with the tray table ALL the time, you'd think I'd know how to do it by now. But I am always thankful for a helping hand.
Galley Gossip: 10 signs there's a newbie in first class {Gadling}
Dec 30th 2009 10:53PM oh please. This was all in fun, and I have done many of them in the past. I have to say I do still binge when ice cream sundaes are concerned. "What you would like on your sundae?" "Uh... everything please!" And then I have to eat it all even though my stomach hurts.
Same with the personal movie players - that is how I get caught up on my movies!
And even though I have many long haul flights in business and first under my belt, I never tire of playing with the seats, especially the ones that go all the way flat.
I do regret not taking more pictures of my one and only round trip on Eos...
Galley Gossip: A letter from a frequent flyin', two-timin', cheat! {Gadling}
Aug 26th 2009 11:51AM Hm, I would have guessed Virgin as well.
I actually joined their program but have yet to fly. I'm still scarred by the torrid affair I had with Eos back in 2007. It was hot, it was sexy, it was SOOOO much fun. But at the end all I had were some once-in-a-lifetime memories and blurry cell phone pictures, when I could have made EXP and had some swell times with my "old" airline in 2008.
So he snores in the recliner in front of the TV more than I would like, and maybe those love handles leave me a little less room in my seat. But I guess we're in it for the long haul.
Galley Gossip: Swine flu on the airplane (a few things you can do) {Gadling}
Apr 29th 2009 12:11PM My mom and my sister have been there on vacation (Cancun area) since before the story broke. I myself just got back a week ago. It'll be interesting to see what if anything is different when they try to come back to the US.
A friend who came back on Sunday when the story about the girls in Queens was just breaking, said she saw 1 FA wearing a mask but nothing else unusual.
Seriously, though, what are you (the FAs) supposed to do? Those guidelines are no help at all! How do you "isolate" coach pax on a full flight? And even before that, how do you identify "swine flu like symptoms"? Aren't they just the same as "flu-like symptoms"?
Good luck with all that.
LC, got nothin' but mild allergies here.
(cough, cough)
Galley Gossip: Lost in first class {Gadling}
Mar 12th 2009 7:58PM Jeremy is absolutely right - my sister and I have traveled to Asia with my dad like that - he was in 1st, paid by the company, and we were in coach. I would rather have gone in coach than not gone at all!
This reminds me of an inflight announcement that woke me up on a LAX-JFK redeye: "Would the owner of the chihuahua please push your flight attendant call button. Your dog is loose in the cabin."
Galley Gossip: Passenger of the month - Author Thant Myint-U {Gadling}
Feb 19th 2009 12:22PM Actually - I believe I was the first PotM on Heather's blog, and that was before she got picked up by Gadling.
and p.s. I am female.
Galley Gossip: Flight attendant of the month - a retired New York City detective {Gadling}
Feb 3rd 2009 10:01AM I'm flying to Vegas at the end of the month, so I'm going to look for Kieran.
This was a hilarious post. I think it's the law enforcement background. The story of the afraid-of-flying woman made me LOL.

Feb 3rd 2009 9:57AM Oh man. I better practice getting mean again because otherwise my husband's going to think I'm cheating on him.
Like with that guy I sat with when I met you, Heather. I was there, I saw it all - we were both fighting with each other to see who could flirt more. It was appalling.
Galley Gossip: Just a few things a flight attendant doesn't want to hear {Gadling}
Jan 26th 2009 10:42PM HAHAHAHAHA!!!! That is so perfect. That's what the maps are for in the in-flight magazine, people!
Galley Gossip: A question about being a flight attendant and having a young child at home {Gadling}
Jan 9th 2009 3:30PM Brava, Heather!
Talk about work-life "balance" - this sounds more like a juggling gig with multiple team members. I'd add some other benefits, too - your son grows up knowing that moms can work outside the home, he learns that dads know how to be the primary caregiver, and he's probably really well-socialized. (Your son, I meant, not your husband!)
