Most Small Businesses Displeased with Federal Economic Policies {AOL Small Business}
Jun 5th 2011 12:21PM Most of the people who want to tax multinational companies are people who have never signed the front of a pay check only the back. In a capitalistic world business goes to where profit is greatest. If you increase tax on multinationals they move overseas. Switching from an income tax to a "sales tax" curees that problem! Having said that, as a Master tax professional I know full well that the income tax has too many people with vested interests needing to keep status quo to stay employed. to ever go away
Carnival cruise passengers spend weekend in Antigua ... in jail {Gadling}
Sep 9th 2009 3:53PM My wife and I visited Antigua on a cruise ship about seven years ago- we were warned before docking about the locals and the "unsolicitated and sponsored" cruise tours. I assume a similar admonishment was given to this trip. I personally would never go back to Antigua

Apr 18th 2008 10:37AM I would like to know what the school committee is this district feels about the publicity this is generating on their system.
1. If the Msgt had notified the school of the situation and it was previously approved then perhaps an interview with the teacher who sent the child to the office should be done on national TV so she/he could explain their thought process.
2. Perhaps during the same interview the Principal and the assistant pricipal could also explain their position.
3. I am retired Army with 24 years service and I know that the army now is largely minority( my last two units were over 70%), particularly in combat arms. The race of both student and administration would be interesting to know. I am caucasian, so this is NOT a minority asking this question!

Nov 8th 2006 1:09PM As a retired military man it matters not to me what religion, race, or ethnic origin of an elected offical but his honesty and interigity. I know little or more accourately nothing, of this individual. As long as he is true to his convictions, regardless of my personal feelings; I believe he has the right to voice his opinions. I have little or no faith in hypocritical actions of elected officals and would trust a man of ANY religion that is true to his creed before a politican who is solely interested in my vote.
There is no place in our country for bigots or hypocrates; furthermore what differenciates us from other nations is yesterday we were Republicans and Democrats and today we are Americans- lets act like the country we are.
I am aconservative independent and usually vote Republican but I am saddened by recent moral events. I also do not feel I am alone.
