How to grill corn on the cob {Slashfood}
Jul 17th 2006 2:38PM Good stuff. I do this all the time and its a great crowd please.
Something I learned from my days in Arizona; After grilling and shucking the corn, try rubbing it down with lime and then sprinkling on your favorite chili powder + salt spice rub.

Critics are still questioning organic foods {Slashfood}
Jun 21st 2006 9:11AM I haven't done a scientific study, but my own 'findings' is that a lot of organic fresh food just tastes better. This is especially true for meat/poultry and eggs. I don't buy organic all the time, but if I'm cooking something special I will go organic on a key ingrediant.
The potential health benfits are an afterthought.
Making pesto is simple {Slashfood}
Jun 21st 2006 8:39AM Sundried tomatoes are definitely a nice add. I also add chiles for a spicy pesto or even cumin/lemon for a middle eastern version.
A nice way to have pesto is with chicken. I'll saute some onion/garlic, then add flour (or cornmeal) coated chicken. When its all cooked, I'll lower the flame and throw in the pesto.
