Steve Wozniak *didn't* say Android will win the smartphone race [Updated] {TUAW.com}

Nov 18th 2010 12:08PM Android is software and Iphone is hardware. When people talk about phones they typically refer to the handset and handset makers respond with handsets with more features.
Basically Apple is NOT making its numbers (financial) by touting the number of OS it shipped and Google certainly does not. The comparison of Android vs Iphone is academic. Until a handset maker comes with with a cracking new device it is not even a competition.

Bottom line is the Iphone is the phone (i.e. hardware) everyone wants to have. Once they have it and experience the ease of use to get software and media they are hooked.
