Just a thought about the change in landing characteristics. The winglet effectively makes the wing seem longer. The drag cleanup is at the end of the wing. I would guess that more lift is being produced out board of the spoilers. The wingletted surface probably is bending upward towards the tip as the load is being transferred to the wheels, slowing the transfer of energy.
