Wendy's Fries vs. McDonald's Fries: Taste Test {Slashfood}
Apr 21st 2011 12:38AM I won't say 5 Guys is awful...it is pretty good...but I don't get all the hype...there are half dozen burger places here in Austin that are much better...of course, I am talking about the burgers...the fries are pretty good at 5 Guys, but I prefer "steak fries"...I don't eat fries if they are not this style.
America's Meanest Airlines {Gadling}
Apr 11th 2011 2:37PM Funny, I flew Delta for the first time, this past week, on a trip from Seattle to Austin. It is one of the best flying experiences I have had in years. Not to say that they did anything amazingly well, they just did everything the way I expected...soemthing to be said for that. It is ironic that I read this article now, because my experience with Delta was one of the few times I felt compelled to tell them I thought they did a great job.

Court Yard Hounds Question Toby Keith's 'Bullets in the Gun' {The Boot}
Jan 23rd 2011 2:34AM Uh, anyone who can hear, would realize that this is more than just a little similar. It isn't just the similarity of the story, but the tune...not even Toby's awful Nashville "country" production can hide that fact...
I admire Robison for speaking up...Robert Earl Keen (has more talent than Toby Keith, in his little finger) is getting ripped off...and people like Toby Keith continue to obscure what real country music is, by passing off lightweight rock as country...and you Palin loving morons defend this stuff as "country music"?
Republicans Love 'Modern Family,' Democrats Favor 'Dexter,' New Study Shows {AOL TV}
Nov 14th 2010 5:37PM I am a Dem...I like "Modern Family"...though I dont' watch it every week...but mean to. It is the the only show I have seen from the Republican list. Oh yeah, I have seen Glen Beck too...I can't believe his drivel, or Olberman's for that matter, are most watched by any group of people, other than the Beck and Olberman families.
There are 4 shows from the Democrat list that I never miss (Mad Men, Dexter, Friday Night Lights and Breaking Bad). I have never seen any of the rest, and only have interest in possibly seeing "30 Rock". My other favorite shows, non-rated, are "Real Time with Bill Maher", "Weeds", "Boardwalk Empire" and "Walking Dead", and "East Bound & Down".
I suspect those are all shows favored by Dems, as they are well written, intelligent...the Reps can probably relate to the brain dead "walkers" (zombies) in "Walking Dead", so they might enjoy!
Dr. Laura Schlessinger to Retire From Radio, 'Regain First Amendment Rights' (VIDEO) {AOL TV}
Aug 18th 2010 2:16PM I think it is hilarious that conservatives are coming out in defense of Dr Laura on this issue. Rmemember a few years ago, when Natalie Maines, singer for the Dixie Chicks, made a comment to the effect that her home state of Texas was embarassed that George Bush was from Texas? The Dixie Chicks, at the height of their popularity, were black listed by the conservative radio conglomerate that owned the vast majority of country music stations across America. There were Dixie Chicks cd burning parties, all endorsed by conservative pundits, claiming that "the Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind, and the public, and sponsors are free to react they way they choose". Well, the same logic applies to "poor" Dr Laura. It seems many talk tough when it comes to politics, but don't have the same sense of outrage when it comes to issues of race. Don't kid yourselves. The conservative element in this country, right now, has major issues with race. They see that white America is not first and foremost anymore...and it scares them.

Jun 30th 2010 2:02PM Judging from the comments, it is clear that most of you folks wouldn't know a country song if it hit you upside your thick skulls. Carrie Underwood? Please...
