Michigan State's Tom Izzo Denies Any Interest in Oregon {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}

Mar 30th 2010 5:50AM I think it's hilarious when someone reads an article about the basketball coach from one major university (Michigan State) and then proceeds to bash the football program at another major university (Univ. of Michigan) as if they're somehow connected. You people feel grand about speaking your mind and stating your opinion, but don't realize how stupid you are. It's like saying great things about Coach K, then bashing the North Carolina football program. Get a clue people...they're different schools!

Urban Meyer's Resignation Has Numerous Ramifications {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}

Dec 27th 2009 9:24AM Hey, I got it! Rich Rodriguez has another rotten season at Michigan. The University of Michigan is fed up. Then, Meyer is healed up and ready to return to his former team (that's the Wolverines for those of you who don't remember where Urban got his start). We'd love to have him back.

AMC cracks down on movie snack-smugglers {WalletPop}

Dec 7th 2009 4:16PM Oh, and one more thing: If Theater X only charged $8 a ticket, and Theater Y, located just down the street (in the same booking area) charged $10 a ticket, Theater Y would always get the good movies. That is because the film companies book their films in the theaters that charge the higher ticket prices (higher gross ticket sales dollars means more dollars in the film company pockets). Trust me, I speak the truth.

AMC cracks down on movie snack-smugglers {WalletPop}

Dec 7th 2009 4:11PM I was a theater manager for over ten years. The article makes a very valid point when it comes to how much money the theater actually makes off the sale of the ticket. The answer? Practically $0. New releases command the highest "rent", which is the money paid back to Universal, Warner Brothers, Disney, etc. The longer the film runs at a theater, the lower the rent. Of course, the longer the film runs, the lower the ticket sales too.Therefore, as the article says, the theater companies make all their money off the food they sell. Next time you go to the movies, please keep in mind that the money you plunk down for your ticket goes to the film companies and NOT the theater. Unfortunately, that means steep prices for the food.

Ocho Cinco Wants to Officially Change Name to 'Ocho Cinco' {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Aug 14th 2008 9:39AM Chad has been rumored to be on the trading block lately. Gosh, what happens if he gets traded to a team that already has a number 85? His whole plot would be messed up. Also, in my opinion, this is just another celebrity that hasn't been in the limelight enough lately and needs that fix of publicity to make them feel that they're the greatest. His skills and popularity are slipping, he's not the greatest and now the dork inside him comes to the surface. Lets buy all these types an island in the middle of the ocean and let them all live out there.

Barry Bonds Likely Done For Good {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Apr 30th 2008 10:15AM It's about time. About time the tables have turned on some of these prima donnas. The steroid thing aside, I'm glad that a team (or teams) has said that enough is enough with these athletes that demand having their own big screen tv in the larger than large square footage of locker room space that they also demand. Whatever happened to the TEAM? The other guys are sitting in their locker area, perhaps four or five feet wide and happy about being there. They have a chair that isn't a leather reclining lazy boy, such as what BB demanded, and got. And he won't participate in TEAM functions? I wouldn't want to go see him play, even if he didn't take the 'roids. His attitude alone is enough to make me sick.
