Unrecognizable Lady Gaga Covers Vogue Power Issue {Stylelist (Main)}

Feb 12th 2011 10:30AM Personally, I don't see what ANYONE can find appealing about this woman. She is butt ugly, has an only "passable" singing voice, dresses like someone off the short bus, and is beyond freakish is all ways. I pray that the powers that be soon punch the clock that is timing her 15 minutes of fame...

Cupid in the Cubicle -- He Strikes More Often Than You'd Think {AOL Jobs}

Feb 10th 2011 1:07PM Not too sure about the flirting part. In fact, I'm not sure if you could call this a fling... Years back I worked providing IT support for a company at several of their offices. In one office in particular, I frequently had linches with one of the women there. We almost always dined alone at local eateries. We shared these linches for almost 2 years. At the time, I was living with awoman whom I cared a lot about, so to me, the idea of a "fling" was out. I honestly felt that these lunches were no more than inocent lunches with no romantic overtones at all. I even let the woman I lived with know about the lunches, just to be sure I was being honest about it all. Here's where it gets bad. I finally ended up quitting that job to take a better, higher paying position for a larger company. I gave the usual 2 weeks notice and during that time still enjoyed the lunches as usual. BUT, on my last day at that office, the woman I had shared all these lunches with began crying openly and professed her love for me. I felt terrible. I never knew that she felt that way. She never showed it. To me, it was all just two "friends" enjoying nice lunches out. I did talk with her and explained this to her. Afterward, we still remained friends for some time. Slowly over time that dwindled to where it would be months before we would talk or email. Suddenly one day I get a call out of nowhere, and she said she happened to be near my new work was and asked if I would like to do a lunch. I said that would be nice, and we met for lunch. She again said that she still loved me and had never lost that. I couldn't let that go on. I hated the thought of her having to have these feelings that I couldn't return. As our lunch ended, I told her that I felt it best that we didn't communicate anymore,since I felt it would only be like leading her on. She said she understood and left, calmly. The next thing I know, I am getting massive amounts of emails from her. All of them extremely harsh and angry. I ended up having to place her on a spam list. She only changed her email.finally, I had to change my phone number and email address to get away from the calls and emails. She still didn't stop. I was being followed by her constantly and the final straw was one evening when she showed up at a resturaunt where my now wife and I were eating, and she made a huge scene. Thank God, I had been open and honest with my wife all that time or this would have REALLY been bad. I had to get a restraining order to end it all. Well, I have been unharassed now for about 6 years, thank God. BUT I will NEVER again let myself get like that again. I distance myself from the woman I work with except for the usual office pleasantries. I dine for lunch alone as well. All because what I thought was an office friendship went south. Life can truly be a pain...

Adele Confesses 'Crippling' Stage Fright Stops Her Playing Festivals {Spinner}

Feb 10th 2011 11:30AM While I am not real familiar with her music, I will say that I know all about stage fright. In the presence of a few friends (goofing off) I am pretty open, but put me in a position where I literally have to speak or sing to a crowd? NEVER! I couldn't even deliver a eulogy at a friend's funeral. I started mumbling incoherantly... I know it wasn't my feelings of loss for my friend that caused it. It was having to speak to all the people there. Even back when I was in school, I couldn't speak in front of teh class, I always froze up. Lady, I feel your pain...

Tom Ford Interviews Julianne Moore for InStyle on Turning 50 {Stylelist (Main)}

Feb 9th 2011 10:50AM As a man, I obviously couldn't possibly relate to how a 50 year old woman may feel, let alone any woman's feelings. I can speak for at least this one man, though. I find Julianne Moore to be an excellent actress (one of my personal favorites, in fact), and always a lady, even when going acting as more. I have seen her "sexy" and her in less than sexy roles. I have seen her in reality (actually dined near her in a local eatery), and when just out and about, she still seemed quite beautiful. What I believe personally is that it is her "inner" beauty that along with her natural beauty, that keeps her so well. At 50, this woman really is above the bar and not many can do that. So what if she likes being in her yoga outfit? Comfort is a pleasure that we all desire, and if that makes her comfortable, than so be it. For those of you women out there reading this, I am sure you will agree with that much! Ladies, as a man speaking to you all, just keep your inner beauty working with your outer beauty and you can all be a "10", like Ms.Moore...

Girl Scout Cookies 2011: Flavors Reduced to Only 6 {Slashfood}

Jan 28th 2011 1:01PM I usually buy a dozen boxes each year. The problem here is that they may be dropping my favorite Samoas. If that happens then they will lose a customer. The Samoas are the ONLY cookies that they make that I like. No Samoas. No sale.

Teena Marie Dead at 54 {The Boombox}

Dec 27th 2010 12:50PM I was never really a fan, but I do know that she will be missed. I certainly do want to send all my sympathies to her family and friends, and may she rest in peace...

Celebrity Christmas: Carey Mulligan, Paula Abdul And More Share Their Plans {Stylelist (Main)}

Dec 23rd 2010 11:06AM All this negativity.... It's Christmas, people! Time to put aside all the BS that makes you an a-hole just for a short time at least. You can jump right back to being your usual negative selves AFTER Christmas! The fact is that everyone does Christmas a little different. Some have a traditional thing they do, and others just play it by ear. It doesn't matter if you are some everyday person or a celebrity. Enjoy this time of year and take a little time to try to make it a bit better for those around you. Smile a bit more. Show some love and understanding for others. When you do this, you will find that your life seems a bit better too. That said... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, And for those that celebrate their other religion's festivities, I wish you happy days as well!

Lady Gaga Wears Belly-Baring Outfit in the Freezing Cold {Stylelist (Main)}

Dec 22nd 2010 8:31AM Personally, I like her voice. I don't much care for her choice of lyrics in most cases, though. As for her persona.....Well, that is one for the public to figure out. It seems that it is actually her persona that has done most of the drawing in of the crowds. People are fascinated to see what she will do next, and that in itself is a major part of what shot her up to stardom. The fact that she "shows some skin" is really no surprise to anyone, given the look of most of her costumes. Every act has its own style or "click" that causes the fans to take notice. It's not always the music alone. It is often what the act does. Watch your favorite star and then think for a moment what makes you follow that music. Is it their music, or is it the act in general? I think that if you do this, you will better understand why Gaga is so famous today.

Bride Sues Groom for Leaving Her at the Altar -- To the Tune of $95K {Lemondrop}

Dec 16th 2010 9:17AM Funny how so many of you responding to this article are soooo fast to stand up for this "jilted woman". Not once in this entire article did the author mention the groos reason for backing out. Not once did the author even give a moment or an opening for that point to be argued. This is just another case of "all men are bad", and none of you are going to even ask what was the grooms motives? Who is to say that perhaps during the course of this wedding being planned, the bride to be started showing a side that he was unaware of? Believe me, it happens. Maybe he decided that she was more of a bi**h than she had led him to believe during thier time together? Again, it happens. I have married twice, and BOTH times, I found out more bad about my brides AFTER getting married. They changed as soon as that ring hit the finger. Oh, I can easily see where this one may have made her "change" during the prep for the wedding and he figured it was best to get out before she could cost him later. I say this author is a one sided dyke who is probably a man hater from the word go, and those agreeing with her without the FULL story, can't be far from that...
