Apr 27th 2008 12:43AM I can't say for sure, but maybe 'Barbara blew it?' Oxygen is very sparse in luggage. In 34 years in the airline industry, I only saw two bags burn on the inside. One had match books in it and the other had a small pack of fireworks -- it was a back pack, which was completely destroyed -- flammables were and are illegal to carry in baggage. Only these types of substances can burn with no oxygen. Fortunately, neither of these incidents happened while the flight was in the air. Ms. 'blewit' should feel fortunate.
