Jul 19th 2011 1:10AM And WHAT state that's geared for tourism isn't? NC's Outer Banks, SC's Grand Strand, ALL of Florida, most of Nevada, NYC, Atlantic City, NJ and Southern California all live and breathe for the TOURIST dollars! There ARE still some 'vacation values' out there: I just spent a week in the mountains of NC with spouse and (other than antique shopping) spent less than $300. Just have to know where to look!

Jul 19th 2011 12:52AM The $699.99 item was a "Super-Mega" Fireworks assortment. I've ssen that item and it's actually more fireworks than most towns fire off on the 4th of July. Believe me, that assortment is NOT something you'd want in your trunk and suddenly 'cooking-off'!

Jul 18th 2011 3:35PM "South of the Border" is just another over-hyped attraction. If you've never been there, after seeing all the billboards along trhe way, you'll be disappointed when you arrive! I remember when the Pavilion at Myrtle Beach closed, South of the Border saisd they were trying to buy the old kiddy-rides and put in an amusement park; the rides weren't as 'el cheapo' as SotB thought and the plan fell through. It's just another attraction on the highways that make you say "Is THAT it?" when you arrive! Just like 'Jimmy Carter's' near Florence, SC and 'Cafe Risque' near the GA/SC state line. NOT what you expect! The MORE billboards you see for a place, the LESS you get!

Jul 13th 2011 12:43AM BRAVO! I'm sick and tired of going to a nice resturant and having to listen to some kids yell, scream and cry when I'm paying $50+ for 2 people! Was in a ritzy resturant last week and some woman let her kid cry for 10 minutes, 2 tables away. The only reason she FINALLY paid some attention to the kid? It got choked and did what kids do when they get choked: it threw up, EVERYWHERE! Made me lose my desire for the nice thick cut of Prime Rib that'd just been put in front of me! And a Buffet isn't a place to let kids run unsupervised either! I stopped going to one when I saw a toddler sample something off the buffet, decide she didn't like it and spit it back into the serving pan! Resturants should have a seperate area for kids to be in or just ban them completely.

Another 'hottie' from that era is Pat Benatar; saw her a few weeks ago and WOW!!! She's better looking than her daughter and the daughter is a "stone-cold fox"!

Mar 29th 2011 12:34AM Talk about being judgemental?? Sorry but I know several practioners of Wicca and NONE of them 'case spells' to cause harm or injury to people! Wiccans believe in 'good/bad' and worship Nature. Any 'spells' they cast are to PROTECT from evil. As far as people that have a religious belief being 'wrong' goes, don't judge me and I won't judge you! I'd rather have religion and belief in a future after death than nothing to believe in! As far as this TSA matter goes, if the woman actually believes that a 'spell' was cast on her car, I hope I NEVER go through an airport she's working at!
