Most Controversial HOA Moves of the Year {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 24th 2011 6:45PM Enough of this foolishness about the constitution. YOU sign a contract - you live up to it.

Dec 24th 2011 4:17PM Fran, sounds like YOU are correct (in your case).
BUT, I would like to THINK that problems like yours are in the vast minority. Especially, in this day and age of the internet, we get to hear all of the negatives about a subject but not the positives. Those who are satisfied generally don't post (nothing to complain about).

Dec 24th 2011 3:51PM Raymond says -

"A person living in an HOA isn't going to allow their proerty to "go to hell." If they're going to do anything, they'll want to improve on their Property".

I wonder as to the factual basis for that comment.

I don't live in an HOA but I live in a $400,000 plus neighborhood where there are people who haven't painted their houses in 20 years, don't trim their bushes or trees, let weeds grow all year in ther "lawns", never rake their leaves and have backyards that look like Fred Sanford lives there.

Dec 24th 2011 1:53PM People like YOU are the problem not the solution. Why would anyone even think of acts of lawlessness/vandalism as a solution to a problem.

Dec 24th 2011 11:42AM Please, there are two sides to every story. Just ride through a developement where people have gardens, above the ground pools, swing sets, cars and or boats and RV on their front lawns and you will see the other side of the story.

There are people who just want to live in clean (even boring) areas without having to worry about their neighbors' depreciating their property with eyesores.
