Feb 1st 2009 4:51PM I could never find myself on any of the "must be searched" lists but until I got married and changed my name I could not go thru the airport without being flagged for the "special treatment". It actually saved me a few times I was running late becuase the line is shorter. My friends would sneak thru with me. I was flying 2-3 times per month and made it thru the extra screening with a handful of lighters including a zippo, a corkscrew with foil cutter (aka frikken knife)etc. They put on a good showing with the search but I did atleast 20 round trips with that corkscrew before it was spotted on the xray. The lady didn't even have a problem with the screw part, it was the foil cutter. She said if I could break off the cutter I could keep the corksrew.

Jan 24th 2009 12:10AM My friend worked at the Garden City Hotel in NY, I believe its 4 stars. She told me that in all the years she worked there no matter what happened to it they would not launder a comforter or blanket. The owners live in the presidential suite so it will never be available although they advertise and brag about their suite. She said she cant stay anywhere now because if they clean so little there she cant imagine in someplace not as fancy.
