Jim Caldwell Defends Timeout Call Preceding Jets' Big Sideline Strike {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Jan 9th 2011 10:13PM berryman: now that my Colts are out I hope your Pats do well. Long time Celts & Sox fan tho I am a Hoosier- but never a big Pats fan, probably because Griese (from IN) was the QB of your rival 'Phins back in the day. Thanx for the respectful comments RE: Peyton! Even I became a bigger Colts fan when he arrived. Best wishes against them cocky Jets next week! P.S.: We shoulda beat your ass @ your place in weeek 11 but we went for the win instead of OT. That said, best wishes....

The Daily Fix: Rescue Anything from Your P-Trap {DIY Life}

Feb 21st 2010 5:46PM It would be nice if someone would invent a self-activated drain stopper to prevent contact lenses, etc. from going down the drain. Perhaps one could pull up on a handle (positioned just behind the faucet handle) which would in turn pull down on a "stopper" that would fit snugly over the drain opening. Whenever one performed intricate maneuvers over the sink they could activate the "stopper" (my own word I just made up) and prevent anything accidentally dropped into the sink from going down the drain. hmmm... This could save a lot of time and money! I'm calling my local patent office tomorrow to check patent availability. I'm gonna be a millionaire!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why Is 'The Bachelor' So White? {Inside TV Blog}

Jan 4th 2010 7:27PM cmsnd: I agree with your comment. I watch a variety of TV and NEVER consider the proportionality of races represented- if I like a show, I like a show! In my youth I can recall 2 extreme examples: Sanford & Son- over 90% Black; Newhart- probably 100% White. Both: HILARIOUS!! If race was the overriding factor then Leno, Letterman and other talk show hosts would have to perfectly balance their guests based on race rather than on who people want to see at the moment. And what of sports? Am I as a white guy only to watch hockey or NASCAR as they contain participants primarily of my own race? Uhhh... no! I choose to watch the major sports that I love and grew up playing, irrespective of the fact that they may contain a LARGE # of "minorities" (baseball: Hispanics; basketball & football: African-Americans). In conclusion, if a show has a good cast and plot- enjoy! And if you don't like a show I hope you have the options I do: over 200 channels. I'm sure you can find something to your liking fellow viewers- please? Best wishes in all your channel surfing.

Southerners Aren't Fat from Fried Chicken {That's Fit}

Jul 14th 2009 6:46AM Kathleen: Sadly you are correct! We take such great care of the "poor" in this country that I wish I was "poor"! So many take advantage of the system that soon there will not be a "system" to take care of any of us. Why do soo many girls get pregnant out of wedlock? And many more than once?? a 20 to 30 year "ride" on the coat tails of tax collectors. I own a small biz and have hired several of these "poor" people. WORST workers I have ever had!! Why? Because they know in the end uncle Sam will take care of them. In the end I end up supporting them (thru my tax dollars) whether they choose to work for me or not. America- what a country!

Southerners Aren't Fat from Fried Chicken {That's Fit}

I think it is harder to be fit in the south because of the extreme heat in the summer and you can't really walk anywhere.
I live outside of Dallas and I know that I have to be very cautious about working out in the summer time because of heat stroke or heat exhaustion. Even in the mornings and evenings, it is much too hot to be outside for long periods of time.
"I live in the Ohio Valley- hot and very humid in summer. Many people, especially elderly, walk in local malls (to stay fit) to avoid the heat. Problem: you actually have to be motivated enuff to get your ass to the mall and do it. Very tuff to do if you have excuses NOT to do it!!"
-----------------------------------------------
1; Another thing that inhibits us from staying healthy is that it is almost impossible (at least where I live) to walk anywhere. The cities must be set up differently here or something because the only places I can walk to are in my neighborhood, so I have to drive if I want to go anywhere else. 2; It is also not safe to walk here because, although there are sidewalks and crosswalks, people in cars aren't really expecting anyone to use them. 3; We have a train system, but the station is too far to walk to so we have to drive to the station to use the train.
"I sooo feel for you Elise! A few thoughts here: 1: When you go for a "walk" you aren't necessarily going "anywhere", you're doing it for the sake of "walking". WALKING- for the benefit of it! If you end up back at home that means it wasn't sooo hot that you mentally could not remember where you live. Think about it....(I know it's hard for you... but think!!)
2: I feel for you here too! In my naborhood all the cars drive on the sidewalk. Since they are used so little they have almost no potholes, so the cars have taken them over due to the smooth ride they offer.... And crosswalks? Hey, the cops are at the Donut Shop and aren't there to offer guidance, so enter at your own risk. You'd actually have to think it thru when you enter an intersection: cross with the lite or against it? That would require an exercise of your brain- defeating the whole purpose of you getting none thru traditional methods.
3: Trainstation? We have only a bus system that operates on a few select streets. Wanna ride?? You gotta go to the nearest street and wait for the BUS, which requires you to get there with some minimal amount of exertion. Poor thing..."

I know these reasons are no excuse, it is harder to be healthy in the south in my opinion.
"Yes, you are correct- these are indeeed NO excuses!!! Southern opinion: If this is how you reason things out you have no one to please butt yourself if you are not in shape!!"

The World's Most Expensive Cities {Gadling}

Jun 21st 2007 9:45PM These stats are not biased or in any way "mysterious". They simply reflect the fact that the U.S. dollar has lost its value relative to the currencies of these cities/nations listed, and it simply takes more "dollars" to live in these cities than it does to survive as comfortably in New York, L. A., Miami. etc., etc. A "reverse inflation", of sorts, for investors looking to invest in this country. Go to CNBC for more info......

Alia Custom Invitations {Luxist}

Jun 16th 2006 1:30PM And if we "boycott their businesses, stores, companies, products etc." we can put many middle class people out of work, as they often work for these "wealthy, exotic invitation buying extravagants". In turn, these unemployed ex-slaves of the afforementioned invitation buyers will seek jobs at the companies we work at and will possibly get the promotions that we were seeking and begin making the kind of money that would lead them to buy the exotic invitations that started this whole viscious cycle. And to add insult to injury, they will invite their co-workers, US!, to the ceremony, probably using one of the very invitations we were trying to avoid! AAUUGGHHHH!!! WE indirectly created our own demise!
The lesson here: SUPPORT the businesses, stores, companies, products etc. of these extravagant wedding invitation users, or we all increase the risk of actually recieving one, a shock and horror from which most of could never recover.
As it is obvious by now that I don't have a life, would someone please just invite me to something! I really need to get out of the house.......
