Why Luxembourg matters {Gadling}

Jul 10th 2010 6:46AM I too agree with you. Echtennach is a very quaint yet one of the liveliest cities we've ever visited. Two of the most amazing things I experienced was the cleanliness of the country the openess of its people.

In Luxemburg city I was awed by the bridge that spanned the city over a huge gourge. Although it was one of the main routes used during WWII by the Germans, it survived all attempts to destroy by both militarys. A phenom of architecture.

More Wing Nut News: Officer Refuses to Deploy, Claims Obama's Presidency is Illegitimate {BV Black Spin}

Apr 21st 2010 8:39AM As a retired military member, I find it apalling this clown would say something like this about any President. First off, he doesn't demonstrate patriotism in his presentation. The American flag is dsiplayed on the wrong side. It should always be to the viewers left. Secondly, his statement verges on sedition, that being expressing thoughts and ideas that could create an illegal following which advocates the overthrow of our military or. government. Thirdly, such comments are in direct violation of the UCMJ/MCM (Uniform Code of Military Justice/Manual for Courts Martial), which specifically prohibits the public expression of discontent/discord for those that have been appointed over us. Also, an oath was taken and sworn too, to obey all orders of the President, officers and commanders/leaders to protect and to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic. Fourth, If he believes President Obama is not the President, then why did he continually address him as President Obama.

Republican Congressional Hopeful Corey Poitier Calls Obama 'Buckwheat' {BV Black Spin}

Mar 26th 2010 12:54PM A little known "Black History Fact." Buckwheat was actually a female in both life and character. She took on the male personna, accidently as it was thought by views she was a he.
If Mr. Poitier knew this and played down this fact? What then is he saying about our President?

I'm also wondering if Mr. Poitier is originally from one the caribbean islands and is not fully knowledgeable about our ethnicities. From the last name and the locale, i strongly suspect he may be Haitian, which may account for his mis-use of the term. Nonetheless, it is not an acceptable term to yous when speaking of anyone let alone the President of the United States.

Black and Missing - Our People Matter Too {Blackvoices Main}

Sep 9th 2008 7:54AM A few years ago I mentored a Black male student who was an outstanding academically sound youth. In fact he had just received an internship to work with the New York Times for the summer. He disappeared on a Saturday afternoon. Students, teachers and neighbors put a 24/7 search out for him. The police did virtually nothing. A week went by and on a final hunch, we checked with the morgue (for the 5th time) and was notified he had been there as a John Doe since the Sunday he was reported missing. The local tv news media in Miami would not touch it. They claimed it was not their policy to broadcast stories as this unless the police were involved. However on the same day we discovered his body, one of the local stations did a feature article on a missing dog. They filmed the family in tears, begging for the return of their pet who was like a "family member."

Blacks Can't Stand Pat {Blackvoices Main}

Mar 31st 2008 12:25PM First - By government statistics, there are more non-Blacks on welfare than Blacks.
Second - If Mr Buchanan would check his history, whites did nothing to uplift Aficans or African-Americans. Africa was a CONTINENT, thriving long before the Europeans (WHite and Hispanic) ever thought of touring their outer regions.
Third - Hippocrates is called the "father of medicine" Historians and history has proven that he spent more than 14 years studing medicine in Africa. Initially he went to Alexandria, Egypt (North Africa) and traversed the continent seeking knowledge about medicine.
Fourth - If we are to get down on our knees and thank "white America" for there provisions. where would "white America" be without our knowledge of farming, herding and agricultural knowledge. Maybe, Mr B should get down on his knees and Praise God for ou not wiping out his ancestors during the many wars fought over control of our people.
Fifth _ Whites did not bring religion to the "Black people." In the old and new testament, one can find all the travels of the relgious men and women who travel westward to bring the "word" to the European. These travelers and their travels started in and into and out of Africa.
Sixth - Before the Suez Canal was dug, there was not Middle East. We only had to areas on the other side of the Atlantic< Europe and the Orient. The phrasse near, middle and far east derived from Anglo identity after the canal was opened.
Seveth - Mr Buchanan, I ask you, where did you get your education from and who invoked you the B;ac peoples police" to assess our so called gratitude. toyou the white man. Throughout all of history, whereever the white man goes, nothing followis but poverty, destruction and dismal existance.

Fan Sent to Jail for Assaulting Mike Piazza {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Mar 28th 2008 2:36PM 30 days, wow! What a fiasco of law. As a former sports official, I empathize with Mike. On many occasions we have been pelted with objects from coins to M&M's from stupid fans. There are many officials and players whi have had their sport careers terminated early by these idiots who feel they have rights to display whatever they feel at an athlete or official.

I had a standard self proclaimed policy. If you injury me with your stupid acts, for every nickle you make, I will own 4 cents of it.
