Jan 4th 2010 8:45AM Over the years McDonalds has become very proficient at hiding their products from customers. Many people, including myself have a craving for their McRib, aka McPig, sandwich. They bring it out for about two weeks per year and then it disappears. And the person in charge of this piece of marketing genius actually has the arrogance to cash their paycheck.

Nov 17th 2009 11:24AM I knew Fred Rogers, and this statue is a head-on crash with his persona. He sat down beside me at my first Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh board meeting and coached me through. From that time on, he was the warmest, most considerate person I have ever known. He did more, with impressionable children, than any person who ever lived to counter the negative aspects of our society. I do wish the statue did more to convey that warmth. Sometimes, artists get so full of themselves that they miss the point. Sorry Fred, I know you would have never said that.

Jan 10th 2009 7:12PM Paulus playing less is a good thing. Duke has so many good young players who are only getting better with this increasd playing time. I've seen Duke several times this season and feel that when Paulus in in the game, there's a drop-off. His smaller size is noticeable. The other players are just bigger and still are mobile. The team doesn't miss Paulus that much.
However, do not underestimate his ability. He's slumped a bit which hasn't helped his cause for time. He is still as tenacious as ever, and if I were in his position I'd use that to my benefit : just play defense like crazy and the offense will come around. I love it when the opposing team and fans get on Paulus and he doesn't get bothered at all; he just does something for the team to get them even more ticked off...a tough kid and a great competitor. But, there's no doubt if he ever let an altercation go too far , he get his butt kicked . So this also says he's smart.
How about Gerald Henderson vs FL ST? what a tremendous performance. The Duke defense in the first half was so intense. There was one play where Paulus held onto the ball while a big FL ST guy had it, too and spun Paulus all the way around in a circle. But Paulus didn't let go, like a pit bull. He is an inspiration at times.
