The commercial space race heats up {Gadling}
Mar 26th 2008 5:52PM Jeff Greason, president of Xcor, has been on the cutting edge of this industry for some time. In addition to his work converting a Burt Rutan Designed Airplane (the long-EZ) into a spaceship, he was also the chief engineer for Rotary Rocket, Inc. His spirit and determination is renascent of the early barnstormers when anyone that could, would build their own airplanes in their backyards—today, its spaceships!

The commercial space race heats up {Gadling}
Mar 26th 2008 5:29PM This is long overdue. For those of us who have been around for a while, we expected these flights in the early 1970s. Still, better late then never! Hats off to both Burt Rutan and Richard Branson, for taking the financial risk necessary in order to bring the dreams of so many people to life. Well done!
