Hollywood and its culture misperceptions: why can't they do it right? {Gadling}
Jun 20th 2008 8:00AM I am a hindu and found the trailer unhumorous but hardly offensive. As a matter of fact, had the movie came out of India (and India does have its share of crappy movies), I don't think it would have raised any smoke. There are enough corrupt godmen in Indian movies to warrant a reaction from one in Hollywood.
Though, coming to depictions, I wish Hollywood would stop using the equation:
A hindu = A man with a turban
Use your own credit card to book your flight or get knocked off {Gadling}
Jun 9th 2008 10:27AM Most of the Indian carriers do have the rule, but it is rarely enforced. I haven't heard of anyone being denied boarding due to lack of the credit card on which the ticket was purchased.

KLM pilot gets lost flying over India {Gadling}
Mar 25th 2008 8:01AM Today's Times of India carries a clarification from KLM on the matter. It goes as follows:
Hyderabad: Reacting to a report titled “Shamshabad... what’s that?” published in Monday’s edition of TOI, KLM in a statement said: “KLM was fully aware of the new airport. Flight 873 departed prepared for the new airport Shamshabad at Hyderabad. In India, the weather was below the published limits therefore the crew decided to go to an alternate airport in Mumbai. The passenger and the crew stayed in hotels in Mumbai and left the next day for Shamshabad.” TNN
Meanwhile, the pilots still seem to be having trouble with the new airport as per this report. "Terrain, terrain, pull up. Too low" may not be their favorite phrase.
