Antarctica Cruise Ship Runs Aground {AOL Travel News}
Feb 2nd 2011 2:09PM There should be no cruise vessels operating in the Antarctic. There have been mishaps like this almost every year for the past 10 years. One Chilean vessel sank about 8 years back. The wreck has not been removed. The place is supposed to be a world park.
Elvis Costello Cancels Israel Gigs {Spinner}
May 19th 2010 7:57AM Looking at the comments so far most of them appear to have been posted by people of the Jewish persuasion.
Lots of talk about people being brianwashed, etc.
Ironic given the fact that the American media is controlled by Jews and the American government is paralized by Jewish lobbyists.
There is a groundswell of opinion among the educated classes which rejects the official line we have been fed for decades.
Rock On Elvis!!!

Palate cleanser: Glasgow {Gadling}
Feb 28th 2010 11:04AM Glasgow is a perfect example of a pig wearing lipstick. It was always a dump and now it is just a cleaner, more expensive dump. If you really want to go to a hip city populated by people with sexy accents go visit Newcastle upon Tyne. The football team is much better there too.

Your next Chrysler will be a Fiat {Daily Finance}
Oct 27th 2009 9:10AM Looking at the comments so far it is obvious that the contributers have not been outside the U.S.
Fiat has an excellent range of cars and I am sure that they will sell well in the modern U.S. market. Take the sales of the Mini as an example. Fiat have just introduced a retro design of their own to compete with it.
As a matter of fact Ford and GM also have (or had) European operations. Ford of Europe have had much better designs on the market since the 1970's than in the U.S.
GM presently owns Vauxhall / Opel & Saab (they are being sold off to raise capital to save their U.S. operations). Their European designs are the only decent cars in the GM line-up.
Maybe they should have closed their U.S.design offices and let the Europeans / Japanese do all of their design work. Instead they marketed gas guzzling crap like the Hummer.
Obama Won the What? {Politics Daily}
Oct 9th 2009 12:09PM Obviously the Norwegians (and the rest of the world) can see what President Obama has done. The problem is that his own people (the Americans) cannot.
Planeload of drunk Irish passengers creates havoc on Cuba bound flight {Gadling}
Jan 5th 2009 9:19PM British, Irish & Scottish? So which country did the Scottish people come from (and some of the Irish)?
Hot Seat: Should Democrats Wrap Up Nomination? {Politics Daily}
Mar 24th 2008 10:27AM I think the Democrats have already lost the Presidential Election. The Republicans are genuinely afraid of the Clintons. We will probably find out next year, when McCain is in the White House, that the Repubicans funded the Obama campaign to take the black vote away from Hilary.
Cell Phone Myths Explained 2 {Switched}
Mar 23rd 2008 12:22PM In oil refineries and on board oil tankers (ships) all electronic / electrical devices must be manufactured to Intrinsically Safe standards. This means that they are sealed against leakage of gases so that an explosive mixture cannot be ignited by a spark.
Next time you are in a gas station take a look at the lighting fixtures located near to the gas pumps. They are all rated as being Explosion Proof. Why go to all this trouble and expense to provide safety in these facilities to have people showing up with cell phone or, even worse, lit cigarettes?
