Breast-Feeding Mentally Bonds Mothers to Infants, Study Finds {ParentDish}

May 26th 2011 5:54PM I respectfully have to disagree,l I have breastfed 3 children, and yes there is connection that is present that is not there with a bottle fed infant. Research has shown in MANY studies that infants who are breast fed had much FEWER allergies, FEWER viral and bacterial infections and acutally have a higher IQ. I am a RN with a grad degree in Maternal child, I have practiced for 28 years and what you believe is entirely wrong. Please do not badmouth any mother who choses to nurse her infant. She is doing what is best for her child. The risk of developing Diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, is greatly decreased in the breast fed child. The Being who designed the feeding method for our infants is much more intelligent than any human.

A Shot in the Dark: Researchers Advise Flu Vaccine for Unborn Babies {ParentDish}

Dec 19th 2010 9:14PM Amen sister, I am a health professional, RN with my Masters, and I have to say I am very disappointed at how many MD's believe all the media trash about the benefits of all the multiple vaccinations that our innocent children are forced to get. However I am seeing more parents who are doing research and are refusing some of these. Maybe there is hope, I know of one peds MD who has 3 children and all have autism problems. and she still pushes the vaccinations on all her patients, because the CDC states they are necessary for health. What an oxymoron.

Kids, Adults Should Get Flu Vaccine, American Lung Association Urges {ParentDish}

Sep 10th 2010 11:47PM I really get tired of the media hype, tries to scare gullible people into taking these vaccines. the purpose is to make megabucks for the pharmacutical corporations. and it DOES. A healthy life style creates a good immune system. A common trend is that many people who take this vaccine come down with Shingles in the next week or so. Is that just a coincidence???? I doubt it. I am a nurse and have never taken the flu vaccine and I know many docs who do not take it either. The CDC is financed in large by the pharmacutical corporations and these 2 entities are the main source of promoting these vaccine. Is that not a conflict of interest, think about that folks.

A Self-Reverential State of the Union Address {Politics Daily}

Jan 28th 2010 11:24AM what world have you been living in for this past year? or do you not believe what has been done in the past year. You must still believe in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus

Latest 'Law & Order' Headline Is Ripped From Bill O'Reilly {Inside TV Blog}

Dec 14th 2009 8:09PM Law and Order has stepped over the line on many episodes. The one pushing vaccines and charging one mother with murder because she had refused to have her child vaccinated with the measles/rubella vaccination. He called parents who refused to allow their children to be vaccinated callous, uncaring people. HOW RUDE and WRONG. On one episode, he was going to sue Former President Bush. How obvious was that??? I could name many more. I feel Wolf has overstepped ethical bounds many times. I no longer look at Law and Order because of this.

Preparing for a Career in Nursing {Careers Articles - Online Degrees}

Jul 26th 2009 4:16PM I am a practicing RN with my Masters. I work at the bedside and also teach part time at the University in Columbia. I have worked in many different roles in the past 28 years. The students who are older, goal focused and have good study skills all do well. The community based schools that I have knowledge of, the CNA programs are not 2 years. Some of the programs for CNA are only 6 months long, then the person can stay in for another year, or 18 months, and take the national examination for the LPN status, then they can stay in for another year of 18 months (depending on how the quarters are scheduled) will graduate with the ADN (Associate Degree Nurse). Most of the credits for the ADN programs transfer to the University level where you go for at least another year full time, and this is really hard work with long hours, then you graduate and you have your BSN. I have known many nurses who have used this route for their education and most are wonderful, competent nurses. Since you are 48 and seem to be very serious about further education, your age will be no barrier, you just need to be in good health and develop a solid support system to be successful.

Good Luck, the the person who wrote this article for AOL did have some things correct, but many are incorrect. Some states require yearly continuing education, some do not. Your own State Board can clarify if your state requires this. Yes, when the MD's consider the RN competent there is a very respectful, sharing of knowledge and the RN and MD work as a team, where the patient receives the very BEST of care. It is a wonderful relationship and I have had this for many years. It is very rewarding professionally.

President Obama thinks 'Austrian' is a language? {Gadling}

Apr 8th 2009 9:07PM well stated, I agree, the liberal,worshipping press does not report most of the trash that Nobama says, they are embarrassed to admit that they made a BIG mistake in pushing Obama and cutting the others down. Imagine them making such a big deal over Palins clothes and never a word about the dollars being spent on the designer clothes and shoes for Michelle. I am sick of hearing on the news about how Michelle is a fashion icon and that the Europeans are just worshiping her. Somehow I just don't believe that. What about the 900 people he had in his
traveling group in Europe? Wonder what that cost the taxpayers. Never a word or question about these things. Imagine that.

Q&A With HowObamaGotElected.com's Ziegler: 'The Best Stuff is Yet to Come' {Politics Daily}

Jan 9th 2009 5:12PM Palin is in intelligent woman and has displayed more common sense and good jugement than any of the DEMO candidates for any office. This fact scared the "poop" out of the liberal media and the Democrats more than anything else. They did anything they could do to discredit her, to destroy her politically. The truth will always come out. The liberals have covered up or should I say, not reported on the unethical, illegal things in NObama's History and background. There again the truth will come out. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool ALL of the people All the time. The corruption of the Chicago, Illinois democratic party is no secret to anyone. For those who think Obama is the Masiah and will save the world,
You have a BIG surprise coming.

Open Speculation About Rahm Emanuel's Job Appears in the Press {Politics Daily}

Dec 22nd 2008 4:06PM There is nothing new, there is no change. Obama has selected the same IVY League people, from the same IVY League schools, why didn't he appoint someone who had been educated from another part of the country. Are the schools in the Northeast far superior to the Research Triangle, the truly educated people should know where this is located. Are there no good, credible schools in the Northwest of the U. S.; the same crooked politics prevail. Change, What a Joke!!!
