Johnny Depp Pleads For Justice in Murder Trial {PopEater}
Feb 24th 2010 1:12PM Ok, this is the reason I have a problem with the Death Penalty. If ONE innocent man is put to death in error then the policy is wrong, IMHO. And it's proven itself NOT to be a deterrant to criminals. I'm amazed that an event like this can even shock anyone. I support the police departments and realize they have a huge job to do. BUT I too have seen people convicted of things they didn't do. Furthermore I wonder at the people who get upset at celebrities who try to bring atention to something they think is wrong.
McCain Re-Election Ads Slam Obama's 'Left-Wing Crusade' {Politics Daily}
Jan 9th 2010 8:16AM Can you all say racist? Hey I live in AZ, and trust me those that know him personally will tell you how racist he is. I have a question. The "right" wants someone to take resonsibility for the Christmas Day ATTEMPTED bombing. Who took responsibility for 9/11? The terrorists did but did former President Bush? I sure don't recall him saying he made errors or that the buck stopped with him. ANYONE who's been in a position of authority knows that whoever runs a business (whoever is the "manager") IF they are a good manager takes responsibility and says the buck stops with them (even if they didn't make an error). Tell me who said it was their fault then?
Gay Reporter Begs: 'Take Me,' Clooney {PopEater}
Sep 9th 2009 3:37PM George Clooney is wonderful just to gaze at, but I wouldn't kick him out of bed either. Who cares if the man is gay or not, it's not like one of us in the real world is ever gonna get him. I hope which ever he is he finds the love of his life. But just in case he ever comes to Bullhead City AZ? Email me George I'll give you my number (one can always wish upon a star!! LOL)
First Convicted Cyber-Bully Is Jailed {Switched}
Aug 25th 2009 3:02PM Unless you've been bullied on line you can't possibly understand. Even my 16 year old son says just click the off button and the bullying is gone. But it's really not. It's happened to me twice. One person took it to real life even somehow getting my home phone number. I did not give it to him, but I'm almost certain I know who did. He was upset as he wanted us to meet in real life and I wasn't interested in anything but a friendship. He called me every name one could imagine and he tried every way he could to get into my life. The other person while he didn't take it to real life would have (I'm sure) if he/she could have found out how to get to me. I did what AOL says to do, deleted all their email just didn't read it. Put the screen name on ignore. When I would do that he/she (I never did find out if the person was a man or a woman) would simply create another screen name come back on line in that screen name and send additional IM's or emails. This went on for about 2 weeks. I finally called AOL very upset begging for help. I was told by this young man in community services that they would investigate it and get the person to stop. I don't believe they ever contacted the person. As they never stopped until they finally got tired of it. A friend of mine also had problems with someone stalking their daughter. AOL never helped them either. I think it's time that the online providers be forced to help people that are stalked. In the case of my friend their daughter was 16 years old!!!!!! I also don't think the online companies will help until we all get sick of this and demand they start helping!
101 Back to School Tips {Shopping Articles Blog}
Aug 3rd 2009 6:10PM USE THE DOLLAR STORE!!! There are so many things they "require" you to bring to school. Not so when I went to school. But now you even have to send hand sanitiser! I go to the dollar store about 2 months before time to go back to school and get almost everything we need. Of course to be honest you can't get really good pens or even lots of paper. But for things like sanitisers or tissue it rocks!!!
Michelle Obama Chops Off Her Hair! (Not). {Stylelist}
Jul 22nd 2009 5:51PM Ok, now don't get angry at me folks. But when I really started looking into President Obama prior to the elections I got the feeling at that time I was witnessing something - a family - not unlike John F Kennedy's during his Whitehouse years. After he won the election I truly got the same feeling of hope I did when the Kennedy's were in the White House. Mrs. Obama is truly not only a stylish and beautiful First Lady, but what a wonderful role model she is to young African American women/girls. And their marriage (tho I'm sure happier and more moral than the Kennedy's turned out to be) is a positive role model to everyone! I love her new hair style and wish mine would do the same!!! Tho I seriously doubt I'd look NEAR as lovely!!!! LOL
Tyler Perry Treats Philly Pool Kids to Disney World {BV Black Spin}
Jul 22nd 2009 4:35PM How wonderful! But wouldn't it have been wonderful if the actual place that was so wrong did something "real" for the kids. That offer of "asking" them back was just PR and everyone knows it. When are people going to start taking responsibility for their own actions. Way to go Mr. Perry!!!
New Book Says Secret Service Cut Corners on Obama's Protection {Politics Daily}
Jul 21st 2009 2:44PM This is ridiculous. He's already had more people give out death threats on him and he hasn't been in office very long. It's terrifing that we finally have a thinking President in office and an attempt might actually be successful!!!
Bill O'Reilly Trolls for Content on Urban Dictionary {Asylum}
Jul 16th 2009 9:54PM This man is the most bigoted idiot they have on that awful channel. They say the "no spin" zone and I wonder what they aren't spinning? I literally can't watch him. At first I thought he might have some validity and tried watching it for a bit. But his views are SO SLANTED that they aren't anything I could watch. I enjoy watching other opinions (other than mine) but tell the truth please. Allow others to come on your show and talk without being ridiculed by the host so badly that the HOST loses credibility!!!! If his ratings are down it's because of HIM not just slow news!!!!
Wal-Mart's eco-labeling mandate {Daily Finance}
Jul 16th 2009 6:05PM I recently did a price comparasion with Walmart and Safeway stores. I'm on Social Security Disability and only get $1043 a month to house, clothe and feed my teenage son and myself. So as you can imagine every penny counts. I spent $296 in June at Safeway and about fainted this was for groceries and cleaning products. Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary. The next month I went to Walmart. Bought almost all of the exact same items. Did NOT substitute anything of cheaper value, and in fact bought an inexpensive coffee maker. (believe it or not $9.95!) I spent $101!!!! Now tell me how can the difference be THAT much!!!!??? I was amazed. The only complaint I have is Walmart stores are way too crowded = not meaning the amount of people. Their isles are so narrow in their clothing departments that anyone who is disabled using a wheelchair is out of luck. And trust me my 16 year old son really isn't keen on getting me a bra to look at LOL. But on the whole I'm truly impressed with the savings I found at Walmart!!!
