Michael Shimshoni, Alleged 'Nuisance' Landlord, Eludes Authorities {AOL Real Estate}
Mar 2nd 2013 1:02PM Just seize his properties. Simple, but these cities have so many conflicting regulations that they play into the hands of these low life slum lords. Just SEIZE the properteis and sell them at auction.
Another Housing Bubble? Recovery Shows Dangerous Signs, Reports Say {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 7th 2013 2:02AM Same old crap, different day. Take it for what's it worth, but you don't need 100 expert anaylsts to tell you the same thing. People have short memories. Investors & flippers will make all the $$ once again & leave everyone with overpriced homes that will be under water in the next 12 months.
Hotels That Serve Glorified Prison Food For Breakfast {Gadling}
Aug 18th 2012 12:56PM Embassy Suites usually has a slamming breakfast; hot food, made to order & lots of varierty for those fussy guests. Stayed at a couple of Hamptons Inn's & breakfast did not look too bad, although, I admit, I only go down for coffee & never eat breakfast. Stayed at a new Comfort Suites in Blythe, CA recently & have to concur, their breakfast looked more like the one being described by the writer. Bottom line, it's hit or miss. However, the breakfast really is free, because you can pay $150.00 for a Hotel with Breakfast; or you can pay $300.00 for a Hotel without Breakfast. So yeah, you do get what you pay for & if you don't want to eat the "free breakfast" then go to a damn restaurant & stop being a whiner.
Travel agents on the rebound with insider information {Gadling}
Feb 24th 2012 1:03PM I totally love all the these comments & the fact that most people still think of the travel industry as they did 25 years ago.
I've been a Professional Travel Consultant for more than 25 years. I only work with high end clients & companies & each one pays me a hefty fee for my services. If someone comes to me and says they found some low fare online, I tell them to book it online because clearly, if they're looking online for discount fares, they probably don't want to pay my minimum $50.00 fee & are more than likely just shopping around to see if they can save $5.00. Any Travel Consultant not charging client fees, probably does not think they are worth much. The lucrative business in travel is solid Corporate Accounts, Private Villas, Yacht Rentals, Private Jets, Luxury Vacation/Cruise Travel & First/Business Class flights. It's not the $200.00 Non-Refundable tickets. When the airlines eliminated Travel Agency commissions years ago, I stopped doing all that crap - let travelers book that stuff online. Focusing on the high end Business & Leisure Travel, can earn a good Travel Professional in the mid 6 figures !!! That's the kind of Travel Consultant you want to work with. Knowledge = profit in this business these days.
Utah Immigration Law Blocked; Similarities to Arizona's SB 1070 Cited {AOL Noticias}
May 11th 2011 3:55PM Yeah, here we go again with crack head Judges & the ACLU overlooking U.S. Immigration Policy. So. CA here is like the wild west with the illegal immigrants & gangs running around. There's a shooting in Santa Ana like every day, not to mention the rapes, robberies, car jackings, etc. Most of these guys are off to Mexico before the police can catch up with them. CA is overwhelmed with school budgets, hospital budgets, etc because of idiotic policies & Gov Schwarzenegger & now Gov Brown, who refuse to do anything about illegal immigration. The Politicians are pandering to the Hispanic vote here & we're overrun with illegals. No drivers licenses, no car insurance, free state aid, free education, free lunches, free medical. It's really sick that we all have to work to support all the immigrants. The Courts, Judges, Politicians all have to grow a backbone and put an end to this. The Hispanic population is the largest growing group in CA & the State is now broke. Go figure.
Woman Sued Carnival Claiming Cruise Ship Was Too Fast {AOL Travel News}
Mar 23rd 2011 7:24PM YUP agreed - another frivolous lawsuit. Been on many, many cruises & you don't get sick from how fast the ship is going. You may get sick from the rough seas, but that's the chance you take when you sign up for a cruise. Of course, everyone knows that, except the IDIOT who wants to file a lawsuit. There are remedies she could have taken to mitigate her frustration: 1. Get off the ship and fly home (if she bought trip insurance & became ill, they would cover her), 2. Take a motion sickness medication. Since she did neither, then she deserves NOTHING.
I love the trashy people who take these cheap cruises, they eat all the food 12 times a day, they take in all the entertainment & activities, they act like drunken fools. Then they get home and they write the cruise line and tell them the food was bad or the stateroom was bad or the weather was bad and they want a full refund. Happens all the time.
IDIOTS !!!! Stay home & eat spam and drink beer. LOSERS !!
Mom Sues Preschool, Claiming it Promised Education, Delivered Shapes and Colors {ParentDish}
Mar 16th 2011 11:06AM Another IDIOT - Maybe Mom should have done her homework before enrolling her daughter in the pre-school. Maybe her kid is not the brightest light in the pool.
Let's blame someone else & then file a lawsuit. Seems to be the way these days. I suspect if these IDIOTS can afford $19,000. a year for pre-school, then they are smart enough to do their due dilegence. But of course, the parents are not to blame - it's easier to file a lawsuit. Most likely their plan all along.
Readers React to McDonald's Oatmeal False Advertising {That's Fit}
Feb 27th 2011 2:11PM HELLO ??
Anyone who thinks that anything from McD's is healthy is a McIDIOT.
SmackDown: Would You Publicly Punish Your Child? {ParentDish}
Feb 22nd 2011 7:26PM Of course there is bound to be lot's of controversy on this one.
However, I can think of a lot worse things that parents do to their kids. Better he be embarassed for a short time than beaten. Quite frankly, I don't think any long term harm will be done & this kid may actually study harder and bring his grades up. My guess is that if does succeed, he will probably thank his Mom many years down the road. I think some of these child psychologists are way too sensitive; each kid is different and sometimes tough love is the only way. Only time will tell if this tactic works - I hope it does.
