Mar 14th 2008 6:32AM I think it's a bit of an over-reaction to be honest. It's just a word and it wasn't even being used in an insulting or aggressive way.
Clearly the guy was attention seeking but it's not that big a deal.
Maybe it's a cultural thing... they swear on Australian television all the time and no one seems to mind.
I agree that certain attire is appropriate for certain situations but I'm not convinced a commercial flight is a protected environment worthy of its own dress code.
