Taylor Talks Kanye, Rapper Calls to Apologize Personally {PopEater}
Sep 15th 2009 4:01PM It is not small-minded to call this man a racist. He has shown time & time again that he detests white people. He did something very similar years ago when Gretchen Wilson won for Best New Artist instead of (GASP!) him. (The only difference is that this time HE wasn't the artist who lost to the white female country singer.) If a white artist had jumped up on the stage like that, "racist" would be the FIRST word heard - and everyone knows it! Sending this jerk to rehab won't help, because there is no 12-step-program to get over being a jackass!!
Garth Brooks Brings 'Prayers' to Life {The Boot}
Apr 29th 2009 3:49PM Garth is the man, and should most definitely come out of retirement! As for his personal life, that is his business not mine. If we're going to start pointing fingers at people and only supporting them if they're "perfect", then we will have no one to support.
Obama's Election Inspires Baby Naming in Kenya {Gadling}
Nov 6th 2008 2:51PM No, my dear, I'm afraid you are mistaken. The majority of the country did NOT vote for Barak. It just so happens that the ones who DID vote for him were in the states that had the most electoral votes. The popular vote doesn't matter. So don't go blaming the "majority of the country" for electing him.
I Kept Your Ancestors in Bondage. My Bad! {Blackvoices Main}
Aug 27th 2008 12:27PM Puh-leeze!! I am so tired of hearing that the white people in this nation owe African-Americans for what happened to their ancestors years ago. Yes, it was wrong what happened, but the people who are truly to blame are already dead and paying the price for their hate and sin. My family history has been traced back for several generations, and not a single ancestor of mine owned any slaves or profited from it. So how the heck can you look at me and see my skin color and say that I owe you a freakin' dime?? Number one it didn't happen to YOU - so nobody owes YOU a cent! Number two I didn't contribute to it in any way, since I wasn't even born yet so I don't owe anyone a cent!! And why does anyone have a "right" to be angry? I'm sure a lot of our ancestors were mistreated in some way or another - does that mean we should research it and go make a claim on it hundreds of years later?? What's in the past is in the past, and while racism is still alive, slavery is dead. Racism is wrong, ANY WAY YOU LOOK AT IT!! All we can do is look in the mirror and work on our own actions - we cannot change the past OR pay for it! So please, move on....
Rosanne Cash Fires Back at John Rich {The Boot}
Aug 20th 2008 3:42PM Sherrree, I'm truly sorry you haven't seen the real side of John Rich. He is an amazing talent, an extremely charismatic performer, and an honorable man as well. Just ask any one of the Muzik Mafia members, and they can tell you. Just because John Rich stands up for what he believes and speaks his mind, people want to think he's a punk. People should actually LISTEN to what he has to say, because he is actually a very intelligent man behind the offbeat facade. If you pay any attention to him. you can easily tell when he's being silly and when he's completely and utterly serious. He's very passionate about his beliefs, and he expresses them. So why should he shut up? You only want him to shut up because you don't like what he's saying. If you don't like it, then don't listen. It's as simple as that. But don't go telling people to shut up - that's something a kindergartener would say!!
Rosanne Cash Fires Back at John Rich {The Boot}
Aug 20th 2008 3:29PM Roseanne HAD hits, long ago. She also may be considered a major singer-songwriter in some circles. John Rich, however, has written or co-written over a thousand songs, and many of them are huge hits. He and his singing partner Big Kenny have brought their own unique brand of offbeat, true country without prejudice to the forefront. John is also very outspoken, and has no qualms telling it like he sees it. Sometimes that can get you in hot water, but I'm sure he's used to that by now. Roseanne has a point that her father's name shouldn't be used to officially endorse anyone or anything - but John was merely pointing out his opinion. Based on the way Johhny Cash lived his life and the values he held, John Rich has the opinion that he would vote for a certain candidate. I doubt anyone is crazy enough to consider that an official endorsement, since everyone knows it is simply an opinion. John Rich has the right to his opinion and has the right to express it. If Roseanne took offense at that, I'm sure it wasn't intended. (I say that because it's MY opinion, based on the way John Rich presents himself in public. I'm not "reading his mind" or anything.)
Nick Carter Loves Dolphins {The Cooler}
Jun 1st 2007 10:42AM I know people are going to make fun of this picture, but I don't care...I care about this cause, and if showing my face will get people talking about it, then good!
