Newest bogus airport threat - suspicious powders {Gadling}
Sep 10th 2009 3:14PM Hi Scott. FYI - TSA has always known about explosive powders and we've been screening for them all along. We simply have a new tool that will help when something catches our eye.
I know you stated it in jest, but folks need not leave their powders and baby powder at home. Unless they are explosive of course... :)

TSA can't believe MacBook Air is a real laptop, causes owner to miss flight {Engadget}
Mar 10th 2008 11:13AM Good afternoon! After reading this blog post, I couldn't help but think this would make a great commercial for the MacBook Air! I bet the folks at Apple could have some fun with this.
On a serious note, our Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) are trained to look for anomalies. As you can imagine, each TSO looks at hundreds of laptops a day and many of them have been doing this for up to 6 years. I haven't seen a MacBook Air on the X-ray yet, but I can only imagine it looks somewhat different than what TSOs are accustomed to looking for.
Thanks,
Bob
