Google explains what a web browser is, treats you a bit like an idiot {Download Squad}

Oct 9th 2009 4:21PM At least put the video in context. The video is aimed at people that do not understand what a browser is or the possible benefits available to them for using another browser besides just whatever comes installed on their OS.....

It would be something I would consider sending to my grandma or parents and could be very useful.

They are NOT talking down to folks....though I noticed this site is owned by AOL....AOL users...now there's a group of people that could stand to be informed of their choices ;)

More people traveling to Malaysia to go under the knife {Gadling}

Dec 11th 2008 8:19AM I am am expat living in Malaysia- I find this article to be fairly random in that Malaysia is a relatively new player to the "tourist" medical industry (despite what it claims). The local and local "private" hospitals are definitely not to international western standards and even the "international" standard hospitals don't compare to the ones in Singapore and tourist ones in Bangkok, Thailand. The western expats in the region do not consider Malaysia to be a medical destination and instead travel to Singapore or Thailand. The professionalism of the doctors and supporting staff are far superior to what you will typically find in Malaysia.

Hawaii's Sugar Bowl Bid Is a Joke {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}

Dec 3rd 2007 10:28AM That was dumb. Sorry.

I watched Hawaii in games (what else can you do at 1 AM at home on a Saturday night) and they aren't that impressive. They aren't. They usually play some shaky first half and then fire themselves up to overcome themselves to win it in the second. While this would normally be considered something good, I would argue that they are just lucky. They are lucky that Washington is incompetent, for one thing.

I am not saying Les Miles should be there ... but arguing Hawaii is inane and dumb. Georgia is going to take a crap on them and then everyone will be like "oh Hawaii had one bad game..." against a real opponent.

Stanford Has a Dumb Player {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}

Oct 18th 2007 2:31PM It's the Stanford Cardinal, not Cardinals. Like the color, not the bird.

So does not knowing that make you a dumb blogger or just an extremely lazy blogger?

Virtual Gay Bashing {Queer Sighted}

Aug 7th 2007 11:57AM Being a Jewish teenager living in a liberal area and attending a school in which half the literature teachers are gay, I must admit I'm biased towards seeing things as attacks. However, I'd just like to point out that the holocaust is NOT the only example of antisemitism in history; and attacking the Church is not attacking its followers, but attacking its government/leadership. Just because a person dislikes the President, or even the government, does not mean that they dislike America. To disagree with, or even verbally "attack," the Church is not to do such to Christianity, Christians, or the like; to me, religion is the way you interpret the world. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for every Catholic in the world to have the same views; it's RIDICULOUS to paint them all as hatred-filled, bigoted people. So, when one says that the Church is antisemitic, one is not necessarily saying that Christians, Christianity, or your local Priest is antisemitic. If I'm not wrong, didn't the Pope denounce all other religions? I don't think that every Catholic thinks all other religions are wrong.
Antisemitism is alive and kicking in Europe today. Yes, they are worried about hate crimes, but go to France and you'll see what I mean. When my family went there we passed ourselves off as Canadians with a different last name, and my mother and I went so far as to straighten our hair.
In conclusion, I guess I'm putting up some sort of defense for this article's viewpoint on the Church; while I don't agree with a large proportion of what the Church has to say, I do like a great many Catholic people and have respect for them.

How-To: Make an Xbox 360 laptop (part 1) {Engadget}

Apr 22nd 2007 8:08PM geek factor gets a +10 rating

however it's not too cost efficient; for the time it takes and the price for parts, you could easily get a better dual core machine that works right out of the box

Yahoo!奇摩拍賣與賣家的攻與防 {Engadget Chinese}
