Elizabeth Edwards as Nick Carraway {Politics Daily}
May 10th 2009 1:48PM In the cicles that I run in, John Edwards would be bitch slapped just on principle. He's a fake from his goofy boyish hairdo to his two-faced smile.
What's 'In' and 'Out' on the Job Hunt {AOL Jobs}
May 8th 2009 6:18PM If you're an older experienced worker, don't forget to have numerous versions of your resume on hand to fit particular industries or product categories. For examplem I'm in sales and I have numerous targeted versions of my resume that are purposely dumbed down. One thing that I can assure you is that if a hiring manager has any inkling that you are smarter than he or she is, you're not getting interviewed. I can speak conversationally fluent German and have travelled to Europe 33 times at last count. Rest assured that this information is missing from any resume that I send to an ad pertaining to a domestic opening.
People dislike the TSA, says Institute for the Study of Obvious Things {Gadling}
Mar 9th 2008 11:58AM TSA workers reperesent a typical cross section of hourly employees in the USA; some have common sense and some do not. That said; the same is true of people with advanced degrees and on salaries; some have common sense, some do not. Some are rude, some are not. The hardest thing for me to take is the attitude of self importance and hiding behind the illusion of empowerment that such a job bestows upon the employee. Those with the least amount of power in their personal lives always seem the most eager to lord their quasi-authority position over others in a desperate attempt at achieving self worth.
