May 14th 2012 7:07PM Can anyone guess what type of problem one would have with cellphone calls from Europe to NYC? It will be like being on a public bus, people talking as loud as they can being oblivious to the people around them with their stupid ring tones going on every time you turn around. Nothing personal, but I can take eight hours of being out of contact with the rest of the world.

Jun 21st 2011 6:52PM Yes, they may have taken in account the fact that the living expenses are high, but if history has taught us anything, living expenses are not a good indicator about just how much people are willing to have children. Many families love cities like San Fransisco because they believe it is a good place to raise children in a relatively placid urban environment.
What they aren't counting is the cities gay population. No matter how many gay people try to adopt kids, they are not going to make up for the number that heterosexual couples are going to have. The simple reason why their population is dwindling is because there are too many gay couples in the city.

Too many times do some of these women do some of these things and all they get is a slap on the wrist, where as males who are accused of stalking can get months if not a few years in jail with no probation. But since she is a women, she get two years total with all but a month off for probation. In that time she'll probably perform attempted murder... if not worst.

Feb 20th 2011 11:16AM I am going to say this? Did this woman start treating her kid differently when he was diagnosed with ADHD. I worked child care, I've seen my peer with kids who they claim have ADHD, I am going to tell you, the biggest thing with any mental disease is that parents have the tendency to not discipline their kids, in fact they have the tenancy to encourage their children's behavior by only responding to them when they get in fits. She probably also defends his actions to his teachers. I'm telling you, I'm glad I am not an education major. My sister though is a coach dealing with the same crap I use to. She says the same things, she deals with these kids who act up all day long, and at the end of the day when they learn nothing, the parents yell at her.
Just because you kid has some problem doesn't mean you stop punishing them, that just makes it worst. They wanted to diagnose me with ADHD, and you know what, my parents never stopped disciplining me, and I'm better off for it.

Oct 18th 2010 10:12AM This woman is a quack. Her book requires no evidence, provides none, and does little more than stir overly hypochondriacs into buying her products. They have been saying that electronic devices from cellphones to computers can cause all sorts of crap for years, yet in all these decades and after mountains of studies, they have found nothing. To be honest, there is more electro-magnetic energy flowing down from the sun in various forms than what the average device emits (of the average group of devices).
These side effects (headaches, back problems, ect..) come from people's over use of these items and lack of dieting and exercise, tiny fonts, the inability of people to be able to focus on objects in the distance after time, and excessive sound. While you can link these problems to electronics (how mobile is the most mobile computer anyway?) its not because of the energy they give off. Its just like 'free radicals.' That term that was thrown around since the eighties. Free radicals have to deal with radioactive particles, not something you get from meat. This lady is playing on people's lack of information for her own gain.
As for cancer, cancers have really only been identified in the last hundred years, and then only in the last fifty have they really been determined as a major cause of death.
The one thing everyone needs to remember is this, all electronics are evaluated for how much energy they send out before they are allowed to even be mass produced. If they were going to effect us too that extent, don't you think someone would have said something by now.
Oh, and PS, I bet she wrote that on a computer and practically lives on her Cellphone, and probably has a Facebook account too.

Jul 1st 2010 10:24PM Well, i guess it really doesn't mean much, but they did miss it on one other note. Judging from the images, Katara and Sokka are pictured much closer in much closer in age in the series than in the movie.
Now, on the issue of racism. I'm going to say it was possibly unintentional. The ONLY reason why I say that is because the fact that these two ethnic groups are hard to find in the acting world. You can get close, but that hasn't worked out well in the past, as well as now. Do I think that Shyamalan could have done a better job, yes, do I think its blatant racism, no, not yet anyway. But I must say one thing though, if he used that as his reasoning, then I would have bought it, but he went and switched one of the actors. So in that right he was admitting he made a mistake, and in that right, this movie may not be the success that Nickelodeon is hoping for (among the other reasons). Trust me, a lot of parents will not send their kids to a movie they think isites racism, and the way Shyamalan stacked the cast, this may only make things worst for him and the film.

May 4th 2010 7:18PM First of all, they shouldn't allow people to carry around concealed firearms period. Then your going to allow guns in a place were you can't even say anything that rhymes with bomb? All you need is one nut with a gun with a decent reload rate blowing away all the guards in a security stall...not to mention customers. Then they can be concealed? Their just asking for trouble.
