Aug 21st 2010 12:38PM The stimulus did not buy a hotel. The stimulus bought the JOBS to build the hotel. Constuction alone will employ 3000 people. Then when done the hotel will employ 1000.
LOL.... a Lux hotel in Minnesota is not the same thing as a Lux hotel in New York.
May 29th 2009 1:43AM LOL...are you kidding me? Dealergate? The reason 90% of the dealers shut down were republican donators is not because Obama is picking on them...It's simple because 90% of the dealers donated to the REPUBLICANS!
May 28th 2009 2:10AM The Matthew Shepard Act AKA Hate Crimes Bill is not about the "crime" Its about allowing the federal investigators step in and take over the investigation or more likely the lack of investigation. Example: If the sheriff investigating the hanging of a black man was the member of the KKK. How much effort is he going to put into the investigation of someone he is clearly prejudice against? With protection family or friends can ask for federal assistance to investigate the crime.
Apr 21st 2009 12:02PM Bush kept the wars off the books...that's how he reconciled only doubling the national debt. Obama is being as fiscally responsible as he can afford to be. The raise in the national debt in his first 100 days comes from Bush and his devious practices of hiding debt. Make no mistake BUSH got us into this mess. By ignoring health care, education, public infrastructures...it was greedy and reckless.

The institution of marriage as the union between a man and a woman comes from the understanding of the concept created by religious premisses. Consequently for the United States government to support a ban on same sex marriage is also to support religious beliefs. While it could be said, and is true, that the majority of religions do support a heterosexual marriage not all do for example atheism, and to suppress the religious views of any group violates the constitutionally dictated law that the government shall not support any religion. Consequently for the united states government to ban same sex marriage is a violation of the constitution. This is of course a slippery slope, because so much of society is defined subtly by peoples religious practices. For example, the Mormon belief allowing polygamy would also have to be accepted.
Polygamy is a choice...being gay is not! There is no comparison. The slope is not even close to being slippery! Get your bible out of my relationship.

WHAT PART OF "GAY" DONT YOU UNDERSTAND?
Oct 1st 2008 12:46PM The republicans pulled a fast one. The democrats brought their 1/2 of the vote to the table. The republicans thought Pelosi would bring more so they could blame them. Each side needed to bring 110 votes. The republicans did not bring enough to the table. Spin it how ever you like it was supposed to be Bi-Partisan. If their feelings were hurt by Pelosi, all I can say is GROW UP! What happened to the party that is chanting "Country First!" sounds more like party first.
Sep 30th 2008 8:13PM Partisan means BOTH sides. The republicans wanted the democrats to pass it with out them, so they could blame them. Pelosi did the right thing! She brought her 1/2 of the members need to pass....nothing more...nothing less. The republicans chose not to step up to the plate!
Jun 8th 2008 10:10PM Some people do not take the American voting process seriously...this is not AMERICAN IDOL. This is about who to make the MOST POWERFUL PERSON ON EARTH. I don't trust obama and even though I don't like McCain I think he is the lesser of two evils.
