14-Year-Old Removed From High School Football Team ... Because She's a Girl {Fanhouse Backporch}

Sep 1st 2008 2:54AM This girl should be allowed to play, she's got her parents approval and if there is not a girls team she has the right to try out and make the schools team. Alex, if you are afraid to check a player into the boards you wouldn't be on my hockey team and if you didn't stick up for all your teammates you wouldn't be on it then either.
In hockey you're wearing alot more padding than on a football field. And if you tackle the punter after the ball is kicked your team loses yardage, so she is actually much more protected out there then on a ice rink.
Male or female if you want to play and are good enough to make the high school team then you should be able to play. And yes this person, who felt they had a right to take that right away should be fired, and issue a public apology to the player he was suppose to be for and wasn't.
Now some may say that her breaking into tears shows that she shouldn't play. One thing you can't take away is that she is a 15 year old girl, and all 15 year old girls cry. They cry alot, isn't that what 15 is for?

Ryanair: Man forced to carry his wheelchair-bound wife onto plane after flight crew refuses to help {Gadling}

Jul 9th 2008 5:09PM I feel more for this couple than that bunch left in Phoenix. But if you can't climb stairs you can't climb stairs. Book a flight where you don't have to climb stairs, it may cost more but you'll get there in one piece. What if this woman had been with someone that couldn't even lift her, then what would she of done? I guess wait those three hours and hope the lift showed up or that you didn't have to board that plane by climbing stairs.
I don't see fault with the crew not helping her up the stairs, I hope that they at least maybe gave him some support so that he didn't fall.

Another unruly family kicked off plane {Gadling}

Jul 9th 2008 9:50AM Granma paid Alaska Airlines $2000 to fly the 6 to Seattle.
The police gave them food and a hotel gave them a room, down in Phoenix, cause they were also traveling with no money.

Another unruly family kicked off plane {Gadling}

Jul 8th 2008 6:11PM The sister was 5 months pregnant not 5 months old. I want to hear from some of the passengers on these flights, what was it really like. If you were going to Seattle were you happy they were not on that flight?

Upgraded to cockpit. That's a new one. {Gadling}

Jun 21st 2008 9:01PM Now the cockpit would be an upgrade, I don't care how much I have to pay to bring even one bag with me.
My dad was a pilot, Lancasters, in WWII. He walked into the Air Force office and said "if you teach me to fly I'll sign up right now". They said yes, he signed and then he had to go tell his mom and his fiance (my mom). He had a deferment so he didn't have to go, he wanted to go and he wanted to fly.
I've been in the cockpit of a plane that flew me from Detroit to New York, it belonged to a family friend, and it was (no word to fully explain). It's cool when you read these sort of things and it brings those memories back.

Famous French News Anchor Allegedly Fired Via Text Message {Switched}

Jun 16th 2008 10:14PM One of my relatives was fired via speaker phone. She was at home, working, and her supervisor of over 5 years had her call into HR and told her she was being "dismissed" and no longer an employee of the company.
She still has friends that work there and her "ex"supervisor told one of them that she wishes she could still be friends with her. She's lucky the computer she had at her house was returned in one piece.
She was so upset that without thinking she shut it down and within a minute she was unable to get back on so she could retrieve some emails that she hadn't already made copies of. They wanted her to come in the next day, after the termination email had gone out, and return the equipment. She sent it back with a co-worker that lives near her.
It just shows that some people can dress like they have class but one day the true colors shine. And I am sure that the sup is counting her days, her best friend (not my relative) is gone, her bosses boss is gone that bosses boss is also gone. What goes around comes around.
I hope this guy gets a gig on a different network and takes the fans and the sponsors with him. Next time we'll see who's canned via text, and I hope it's caught on tape.

Oregon Fans Threatened to Kill Kevin Love, Called His Mom, Grandma, Sister 'Whores' {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}

Feb 29th 2008 11:00PM Wait boo hoo and grow up. These are adults calling a child a whore. Some idiot called me a whore and my brother heard it would of ended up where they belonged in the hospital! And if they called his mom, me and our grandmother whores I don't ever want to find out.
Now I am not all that fond of violence, I was at the Palace when that famous brawl happened.
Boo Hoo, take your sister, mom and grandmother to the next game he plays there and let them sit next to them. How do you like it now?
