McDonald's adds oatmeal to the menu as breakfast wars heat up {WalletPop}
May 14th 2010 7:51AM We have the oatmeal in our town-one McD made theirs like soup (gruel if you would) and it was awful. The other makes theirs so thick you could spackle your bathroom with it. At $2.00+, seems like a waste of my money-so I just went out and bought honey nut oatmeal packets and they are better. Just throw a couple raisins or other fruit cut up and you have practically the same thing. I don't go to McD for healthy food. I go for their burgers, fries and chicken. And now the coffee drinks???? WOO HOO!!!
Tiger Woods in Pain, Withdraws From Players Championship {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
May 10th 2010 4:23PM I love the headline: "Why Tiger withdrew on the seventh hole". Kind of sums things up.
Student Braves Controversy, Refuses to Recite Pledge {ParentDish}
Nov 20th 2009 12:29PM Some of us may have used inappropriate references in our posts but I think that we all agree on one thing and that is the total lack of respect this child is showing both to the teacher and to his country. That is a different issue than whether or not a child must stand and recite the Pledge. A ten year old boy who is already having gender issues has more to worry about than whether he has to stand and recite the pledge. His parents hopefully are preparing him for a lifetime of discrimation. By setting himself up as a spokesperson (whether he did it or mom/dad did it) for the Ditch the Pledge balloon, he will be dealing with ignorance and pain and lack of rights first hand. I feel sorry for the kid - he is only 10, he should be worrying about Transformers, skateboards, playing baseball and burping contests with his friends. He has chosen a road that is sure to have many bumps and ruin what should be a happy part of his life.
Student Braves Controversy, Refuses to Recite Pledge {ParentDish}
Nov 17th 2009 9:17AM Remember Madeline Murray O'Hair (or however its spelled)? We used to have prayer in schools when I was a kid.Nothing fancy, just the Lords Prayer (our Father, etc). She, being the atheist bit@h that she was, made a stink about it and how it infringed on her 'rights'- and shortly thereafter, all prayer was removed from public schools. In my opinion, and I have been around awhile - that was probably one of the biggest catalysts in the downfall of our society. Don't flip out - I am not a religious fanatic at all - far from it. I am agnostic and have been as long as I can remember. But sometimes there are things that need to take place - some things just teach basic 'respect' and this is what we are talking about here. This kid and his parents could give a sh*t about the pledge - they are making their Gay point of view known - and it is about to make me puke. I get so sick of the world revolving around gays rights to marry, get benefits, kiss in public - who cares??? That is a personal right - and has nothing to do with the Pledge. Nowhere in it does it say anything about who you can love or have a child with. It gives you the rights to your beliefs. After that, its up to you. But you won't get shot by our military here in the USA because you are in a same sex relationship, nor will you be put in jail. You can march in their Gay Pride parades and not be arrested. You can say what you want, do what you want, whenever you want - within reason. But disrespect - such as telling a teacher to jump off a bridge, has nothing to do with the pledge. It shows simple disrespect - might as well have said F-U to the teacher. And that is a problem - this kid has a long road ahead of him thanks to his liberal as$wipe parents allowing it.
Nora the Piano-Playing Cat Honored by ASPCA {Pawnation OLD}
Oct 21st 2009 11:35AM I had a cat (Angel) who would 'sing' along with me every time I sang 'I left my heart in san francisco'. As soon as I got the first couple words out, she would hop up on me and proceed to sing along; in her own cat way of course. That was the only song that she liked apparently. She gave us joy for 17 years.
Ouch y'all: Shattering Paula Deen cookware recalled {WalletPop}
Oct 6th 2009 10:35AM First of all, who in their right mind would watch a show or buy a cookbook that shows you how to steam broccoli and bake fish. Yummmmmm, NOT!!!!
All the chefs and cookbook writers use ingredients and methods of cooking that aren't always healthy - but they are for special occasions and occasional treats. Its just with Paula Deene- that her manner of talking and being so lovingly drooling over the yumminess of the food - makes it seem just wrong to even eat it. Gimme a gooey butter cake and shut yo mouth!!!

Did PETA Say Obama Shouldn't Hurt a Fly? {Politics Daily}
Jun 19th 2009 4:39PM Actually I tried to 'save' a wasp once that was sitting on my kitchen windowsill; rather than to swat it with a flyswatter. I got several thicknesses of paper towels and picked up the wasp to throw it out the door and back into nature. That SOB stung me so bad it felt like someone hit my thumb with a hammer. I immediately took off my shoe and killed it.
