May 20th 2008 3:06PM If a parent provides the tools needed to gain success - good education, loving home, support- then as adults they should be able to assume responsibility for the direction their lives take so forth... Even if they don't have the trust fund they'll make good in Hollywood because they are the children of stars.
I'm not generalizing and saying all poor people smoke or rich people don't. But if a person is of lower income it makes even less sense to spend the little they do have on something as fleeting as a cigarette. They really add up, especially in NY.

May 16th 2008 7:43AM While some full time Walmart employees are given fair wages and benefits, the company is known to keep costs low by hiring several part time workers instead of full time ones so they are able to pay low and deny benefits. Walmart may not be the devil in disguise but there is a reason why the prices are so low.

May 15th 2008 6:34PM Obviously no one can speak for everyone but Black people are not as racist as professed. Everyone I know and have met, myself included, regards everyone as individuals and relates to them as such. But just as there are ignorant and bigoted people that hate all Black people, homosexual people, short people, there are some that hate all White people, heterosexual people, and tall people.
