Finland the first country in the world to make broadband access a legal right {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2010 5:46PM Also, why stop at 1Gbps connections? If the Government of Finland can proclaim anything a right and It Shall Be, then why not just come out swinging at 1Tbps? What's to keep them from demanding 1 petabit per second? If the Government so commands...
Finland the first country in the world to make broadband access a legal right {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2010 5:44PM Since when do governments grant citizens rights? Our rights are endowed upon us by our creator, according to the Declaration of Independence and many other ancient texts written on the subject. Even if the infrastructure is all public sector already, I still hold steady to the fact that governments do not create rights.

Sirius XM Android app hits the Market {Engadget}
May 28th 2010 2:43PM i randomly stumbled upon the app this morning, was bored and decided to see if they had released the Sirius/XM app yet!
it's buggy if it runs in the background. whenever memory management asks it to quit in the background, THE APP SAYS "OKAY" and exits!!! it does not stay alive at all. so if you start doing other things on your phone, prepare for your stream to die. When you re-open the app, it loads up as if it were totally closed.
This should be a simple error, but no idea how to contact the folks at Sirius/XM about this. at least I get to vent here. If fixed, I am more than willing to throw in the extra $3 a month.
And Glenn Beck is available via streaming now! This is a great win, who needs Howard?
