Use your own credit card to book your flight or get knocked off {Gadling}
Jun 7th 2008 9:42PM Usually you dont have to show up at the airport they are flying from- you instead have to show up at the airport nearest to you in order to confirm your permission. This was the case when my father bought me a ticket at the last minute to get home for a funeral. It was a pricey trip that was not, btw, booked online. Sometimes it might be a particular dollar amount that triggers it or just certain airlines because I booked a cheap (
The New AOL.com Homepage Is Here! {Portalblog}
Aug 1st 2007 11:32AM I keep having to shut down the browser and AOL is causing it. This sucks! I'm ready to switch email so things work easier. This didnt happen before the new webpage took effect!!!
Romney: Hunting Bin Laden Not Worth It {AOL Elections Blog}
Apr 30th 2007 12:44AM FYI for VicVegas... The stances that got him elected for Governor of MA- being pro-choice and for gay rights are two of the biggest of his flip flops. He is now staunchly pro-life and has said that he would undo the gay marriage statutes in MA if he had the opportunity... Overall he is an interesting character but it seems he is a little bit too concerned with pleasing people instead of stating his views and then convincing others that he is right.
Wal-Mart and Target show start of holiday price war {BloggingStocks}
Nov 17th 2006 5:54PM I love Walmart. I used to shop at Target but the higher prices didnt justify what little difference in quality there might be. As a single mom on a limited budget, I thank my lucky stars that there is a walmart around!
Breastfeeding is unsexy and ultimately bad for your marriage {ParentDish}
Aug 21st 2006 2:41PM Just as an observation... after I had my son and was lactating, my hubby thought it was the sexiest thing ever. Once I was able, our sex life was supercharged. But then again, he found me being pregnant very sexy too. I dont think it ever really got in the way.
Mississippi is the fattest state {Slashfood}
Aug 16th 2006 12:00AM I am from CA but have been here in Boston for 2 months. I know I contribute to the obesity problem in CA but I understand why MA is a lean state. We walk everywhere and the staircases and hills are killers. Even taking the T is exercise. On the other hand, in Sacramento I drive everywhere since it is more convenient and public transit is a pain. Hopefully I can take some of my new habits home with me and pass them on to others.
Yet Another Freaking Role for Johansson {Cinematical}
Jul 19th 2006 1:42AM I think Portman can come off as kind of flat in some things, but is growing. I really liked Scarlett in Girl with a Pearl Earring and loved the book this new movie is based on. FYI- they didnt really fight to be with the king, at least not with each other. Mary desperately wanted out of court but was kept there to advance her sister. It should make a great movie, though, however they twist it to suit their plot lines.
EXCLUSIVE: Suri Cruise Birth Certificate {TMZ}
Jul 10th 2006 8:19AM I find it amusing, all of you posters who say to fight apartheid and the war in Iraq... You were obviously here to read the story because you have some deep down interest in it otherwise you would never have been able to post. As far as the posting of the birth certificate, anyone can get anyone's birth certificate but it will have the same "informational only" type stamp on it that this one does. It hardly has anything personal on it aside from your full name and your parents' full names. Now a social security card or dmv record... that is slightly more personal and potentially devastating.
'Idol' finalists get recording contracts {TV Squad}
Jun 7th 2006 7:19AM You know, we all look at success just in terms of albums sold, but that isnt the end-all. Last year's runner up, Diana something went on to be successful on Broadway. Sure, it isnt a multi-platinum record but it is still definitely success. Carrie Underwood just won big at the CMAs and has a very bright future ahead of her. Yes, Kelly Clarkson has come into her own now and is doing great, but I wouldnt count out Chris and Katharine yet.
