Jul 30th 2011 4:26PM Yikes! Reminds me of the slabs of dead bodies at a morgue! I am claustophibic (sp?) so this will never work for me. One writer said it's like an MRI machine. I agree--I can't get in one of those either. I am a fairly small man, perhaps about the size of many Japanese males, but...no way, hose!!!!!

Feb 1st 2011 10:08AM Why blame Gwyneth Paltrow for her lines about Lindsey Lohan on GLEE? She merely was repeating the lines, as were all cast members, written by writers. If anyone is to blame, it's the writers, not the person saying the lines. True--an actor can refuse to say a line if she/he wishes, but said actor can also be fired just as easily. Actors need to work. They are paid to say what is in the script. Period.

Jan 31st 2011 2:46PM Sorry. I disagree. If we keep watching it, with Charlie Sheen still on board, it provides too much support for him. The money pours in, he gets more money, more fame, and has trouble handling it all. We need to practice some tough love. Stop turning this show on until Sheen gets his act together! Or he gets fired! I feel sorry for the remainder of the cast and all the crew. They all suffer because of one selfish man that needs to grow up and accept adult responsibility. He's not just hurting himself. Doesn't he care about the cast enough to admit he's got a problem and get the problem corrected? The producers need to certainly practice tough love on him and get rid of him until he proves himself to everyone.

Jan 10th 2011 1:55PM Anne Hathaway did a cute job immating Katie Holmes. We all need to laugh at ourselves more and not take life so seriously. Imitating a friend can be aa true blessing. You know that friend well enough to latch onto a few of their "quirky" things they do (we all do quirky things, right?) and enjoy laughing over it together. Katie-- now it's your turn to poke a little fun at Anne! True friendships are few in number-- so hopefully Katie and Anne can return to being "good buddies" and enjoy a laugh or two. Bob
Octogenarians Fined $12,000 Over Cat {Pawnation OLD}
Jan 8th 2011 11:18AM One of the major problems with condo living is abiding by the condo association rules and regulations. My wife and I have owned several condos over the years--so we know what we are talking about. Try painting your door with another color! Little things can be trying, but having a beloved animal that has become part of the family is a major issue. You would think the condo association could bend rules in such medical cases. Question--Did this couple have the cat when they moved in to the condo? Were the rules gone over with them prior to their move? I would also suggest the $12,000 debt be eliminated. Perhaps the son can permit his parents to move in with him since he has welcomed the cat so willingly. It truly is a sad state to be in--having to give up a pet is like giving up a human family member. Florida has lots of senior citizens, lots of condos, and lots of condo association rules. (We owned our condos in Fla!) NO MORE CONDOS FOR US! We now have four cats and a dog--all part of our family. We, too, are senior citizens and have learned the difficult lessons of condo-living and condo ownership.

Jan 6th 2011 11:50AM I admire Father Cutie so much. The human sexual drive as we mature into adulthood is natural and must be dealt with--by the religious and the non-religious. True, a few can go without sex, but overall, God made us sexual beings. He also made marriage holy. This priest has human feelings, yet is very devout to God. He is still serving God and is also serving as a husband and father. The time will come--some day--when the Catholic church will change their views and permit their clergy to marry. God bless him for his decision to leave the church--not the priesthood--not leave God--just serve God AND be able to be a loving example to us of a husband and father.

Dec 4th 2010 11:24AM I watch CHASE regularly. Love the cast and the story-line, but wish the main character--Marshal AQnnie Frost--were a little more "feminine" acting. Her character is oh, so macho that I think it misses the boat. Maybe just a little more femineness might make for a better fit?

Aug 10th 2010 2:18PM Interesting--my wife and I thought Mia was rather harsh on Kent Boyd at times. At times Mia seems to favor one dancer over another. We truly believe she is "color-blind" not "dance-blind." She's professionally trained. We respect all the judges. We honestly believe all the judges can be very frank at times, regardless of a dancer's sexual preferences or race. If the dancers are wise, they will listen carefully to Mia and all the judges and learn from each remark--be that a positive or negative one. Using race to indicate her criticism is certainly unfair. She has proven otherwise--very fair and "equally" harsh to all as needed. Does it sting? Sure it does. But...we often grow by a few stingers in life. Right?
